Hi Everybody , lots of results and photos for last nights draw . Starting off with our lucky receivers of our monthly donations . Last night was special because there were three recipients .
Nathan on behalf of the Millicent Skidfest accepted the donation of $200 , as you would all know the Skidfest was held today and run in exceptional weather and a big crowd watched lots of burnt rubber and some exceptional circle work.
Next was Brett and Sue representing the Millicent Show Society . A donation of $500 was accepted to go towards the running of the motorbikes which is making a return to the show this year .
Last but not least was the Millicent Show Society Showjumping Committee . Committee member Belinda accepted the donation of $200 on behalf of them which will go towards the prizes for the Junior Showjumping . Well Done to everyone .
Now onto last nights results ,
The first members money draw of $100 was won by Jamie . Well Done .
The raffle winners were as follows ,
Alan x 3 , Pearl , Damien , Trish x 2 , Trudy x 2 , Shane x 5 , Dan , Gary x 2 , Bunga , Terry , Chris x 2 , Dean , Nathan , Jamie and Nick . $50 meal voucher - Terry , $50 wheel voucher - Gary , Big Chook Pack - Trish .Well done to everyone , hope you enjoy your prizes .
The Main Members Board was next and member May was drawn out and she won herself a Slushie Machine . Congratulations .
Second prize of the bottle of Spirits was won by member Jamie . Well Done .
Third prize of the Big Chocolate Oack was won by member Rachel . Happy Eating .
Second Members Cash Draw was won by Jane and pocketed a nice $100 . Well Done .
Chase the Joker was next and member Terry revealed the queen of Hearts . Bad Luck so theJoker board jackpots to a nice $550.
For those that weren’t present last night an announcement was made by our President that last nights draw would be the last one for 2026 and we will return on the 15 th January 2027 . Please be respectful of this decision as it wasn’t made lightly as there were circumstances out of our control .
Our XMAS SHOW will still go ahead on Sunday 29 th Nov . Please keep an eye out on this page for any correspondence from the Grand Committee .

Hi Everyone . This is for those who went to the Trots this year in Mt Gambier . As you all know there was some money leftover in our betting syndicate that hasn’t been spent yet . This Thursday night Powerball has jackpotted to $100
million Dollars , a number of Power hit tickets can be bought with this remaining money and I would like to ask the ones who went to the Trots if they would like to participate in this Thurs Powerball . Well , the Grand Final is over for another year ! Congratulations to the Brisbane Lions , it was a great game.
The Grand Social Club made a day of it at the GrandHotel , be it a small number of members in attendance , a good day was had by all . Lots of winners and some multiple . You know the old saying “ winners are grinners “ ! Well there sure were some Saturday . Including the three in the photo .

Wow ! We are well and truly into September and this brings the ninth edition of Committee Chatter for the year !
The Committee had a meeting last Tuesday night and was well attended . Lots of things were discussed and a very productive meeting was had .
We are currently at 99 members , what an achievement ! Welcome to the new members
, we hope you enjoy our club . Members are reminded our AFL Grand Final Day to be held at the Grand ,is this Saturday , 26 th Sept . Starting at 11am . Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed female and male , so come in all your footy gear , either the team you barrack for or support the Fremantle Dockers and Brisbane Lions .
There will be lots of other activities , Slide the Coin , which was a big hit last year . Yahtzee , starting prize pool of $50 . Plus have a go at picking the winner , margin they won by , who kicks the first goal etc.
Lucky Squares .
Nibbles and snacks will be provided .
Everyone who went last year had a great time so bring lots of coins and have a great day out at the Grand .
This months lucky winner of the donation of $200 is the Wattle Range Su***de Prevention Network . A representative of this wonderful organisation will be present at this Friday nights draw to accept this donation .
We have some wonderful recipients of this $200 donation for October and as the year is nearing the end , two organisations will be presented this donation of $200 in the month of October , the South East Skidfest and the Junior Showjumping at Millicent Show . Full details in the next issue of Committee Chatter.
A one off donation of $500 will be given to the Committee of the Motorbikes , who are making a return to the Millicent Show this year .The committee wishes for members to bring their ideas forward if you have any groups , organisations or charities that are local who you feel could benefit from this money .
A letter from the Millicent Pony Club was received thanking the club for last months donation towards the fixing of their roof .
Members are also reminded to save the date of the 29 th November for our Xmas Show at Lake McIntyre .
On behalf of the Committee and members , the club would like to send their heartfelt condolences to committee member Alan and his family on the passing of their dear wife and mother , Karen . She will be missed Friday nights by all of us . 🫶
