Hi Everyone , last nights prize draw . The results are as follows -
First members cash draw - member number 54 , Kathy won herself $50 .

Hi everyone , our Sixth Edition of Committee Chatter , hope everyone is enjoying this weather , if you aren’t the ducks certainly are !😊.
A Committee meeting was held last Tuesday night , be it a long one but a lot was discussed.
We currently have 89 members .
Our Xmas in July / Quiz night will be held on Sat . 18 th of July . There is a limit of 48 people with 41 already showing interest , so if you were thinking about it , now is the time to put your name down .
Members - $25 per head .
Non Members - $35 per head.
Just participating in the Quiz - $15 per head .
Tables of 6 people . 6 pm for a meal , Quiz to start approx. 7.30 pm .Lots of Prizes .
All monies must be paid by the 30 th June to allow for catering and seating .
A copy of the menu will be provided for you to look at when paying so please don’t forget to choose what you would like to eat . A little birdy also told me we may be getting a visit from the big fella in his red suit .
A former local , Ian ( oz) Osmond ,for those that don’t know , has been diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma . He has a loving wife in Shannon and a 9 yr old daughter , Estelle .Ian has tried all the forms of treatment for this cancer and his final option consists of four rounds of one tablet at a cost of $6000 ea , totally $24000 . A motion was put forward to donate $1000 towards Ian’s treatment , it was discussed and passed unanimously . This donation will be forwarded on through the right channels .
Our monthly donation of $200 will this month go towards Foodbank , an organisation that helps distribute food donations to charities , school programs and individuals . The 26 th of June will be the Friday night that this donation is handed out .July’s recipient is already in the pipeline , so if you have any ideas where you would like this $200 to be donated please approach one of our committee members .
Again we need your ideas for activities for our members to be a part of , so put on your thinking caps .

Hi Everyone , well another Friday night done and dusted at the Grand Hotel !
Results are as follows ,
First members cash draw for the night was won by Sheree who pocketed herself a $50 dollar note . Well done .
Ticket draw winners for the night were , Kathy , Allan , Karen x 2 , Bunga , Jeanette , Allan’s son , Timothy , Other Allan , Chris x 2 , Carol , Phil and Trudy. Congratulations to everyone and to whoever we may have missed .

Here are all the results of last Friday nights draw , it was a cold night outside but warm and toasty inside the Grand Hotel .
First members draw - Cindy’s number was drawn out of the barrel but unfortunately she wasn’t present so will jackpot to next Friday night .
A variety of winners for the prize draw 😊

Great initiate of the Grand Social Club . Every month a donation of $200 will be given to a local club , organisation or charity .Our first recipient was Wilma from the Walnut Shop here in Millicent , congratulations , all the money raised through her shop is then donated to the Prostrate Cancer Foundation . Here is a photo of the committee and Wilma last Friday night . 😊

Hi Everyone , wow ! Here’s our Fifth Edition of Committee Chatter for the year , the year is flying by .😊A bit of a long one this time round so make yourself a coffee !😆
A meeting was held last Tuesday with a good attendance .Lots of ideas and general business were discussed .
A record number of tickets were sold last Friday night , just over 1500 , what an achievement .
Member numbers stand at 79 and I am sure there are ones that are still thinking about it ? So if you haven’t already done so , join up , but your past member numbers may not be available as memberships were due a couple months ago .
The last meeting an idea of donating $200 every 4 th Friday of the Month was put to the committee , this was voted on and passed . A group , worthy cause or charity .etc .will be the recipient . If you have any ideas of who deserves the $200 , please put in writing of who it is , what they intend to do with the money , point of contact and give it to a committee member , an organisation will be drawn out of a hat and they will be the lucky group / charity to receive this money . The group / charity must be local as the club would like the money to stay local , so get your thinking caps on peeps and we look forward to donating this money every 4 th Friday of the month .
The first $ 200 will be given out on Friday the 29 th of May . The lucky recipient is to be the Walnut Shop of Millicent , a pre loved clothing store. It is run and owned by Wilmur who donates all her time, and profits go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation .
For ones who went to the Trots , the leftover funds from our group betting is still sitting idol , if you have any ideas of what you would like to do with the funds .eg . put on jackpotted xlotto , wait for Melbourne cup and put on then .etc . Please see Chris so we have some idea what you would like done with the money .A tentative date has been suggested for a ‘ Xmas in July ‘ / Quiz night , the 18 th of July .Plans are underway so stay tuned as well as listen to announcements made at Friday night draws .
Members please put your thinking caps on for activities the club can take you on , a couple were thrown around Tuesday night , going to the Sir Robert Helpmann theatre for a show , an afternoon at the movies followed by Tea , a games day in the Mount followed by tea . These are just a few !

Didn’t get names of minor prize winners but a lot of different people won prizes + some new faces .

Hi everyone welcome to the 4th Edition of Committee Chatter, well the weather has settled in with some welcoming rain.
A committee meeting was held last Tuesday with the new committee . New Committee is as follows;
PRESIDENT -Shane
VICE PRESIDENT-Allan
SECRETARY- Judy
TREASURER-CHRIS
COMMITTEE- Marty ,Trish ,Belinda ,Barb ,Roger , Peter ,Jane and Jamie .
Shane welcomed past and new office bearers and general committee.
The AGM was reflected on and discussed , some past committee members still wanted to stand .It is in the constitution for them to automatically be on the committee without having to be re elected .
We have 66 members that have already renewed their memberships ,a good start to the new financial year . Members are reminded to be able to keep their member numbers , memberships were due by the 30 th of April , so they are now overdue.
An exciting year is planned with new ideas afloat , so if you have any ideas for activities please approach one of the above members, as well as ideas for donating some of our funds. New ideas are in the pipeline so watch this space.The club was approached by the darts club for some sponsorship to help with travelling costs to Whyalla , a donation of $1000 will be heading their way.
Hope to see you all on Friday nights , next committee meeting is scheduled for the 19 th May , so bring along some ideas with you to the draws.
