History says, In 1893, the chaff shed on this site was the venue for the first court case in Moora. In 1897, John Brown, formerly the owner of the Waddington Hotel (Victoria Plains) was the owner of the Moora Hotel, which at that time was a galvanised iron shanty. It burnt down in 1906 and the existing building was constructed on that site in 1907. Robert James was the licensee of the then Moora Hotel. Wildflower season from September and just over an hour inland from Cervantes Pinnacles a lovely day trip.
