2nd Chef – Alpine Retreat, Mt Buller (June–September Snow Season)
Alpine Retreat Mt Buller is seeking an experienced 2nd Chef to join our kitchen team for the 2026 winter snow season. This is a hands‑on role suited to a capable cook who can support the Head Chef and confidently run the kitchen on rostered days off.
Accommodation on Mt Buller is provided.
About the Role
Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
Prepare and cook classic pub‑style meals for guests and staff
Run the kitchen independently when required
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workspace
Assist with prep, stock rotation and ordering
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards
Work effectively in a small, fast‑paced alpine team environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a pub, bistro or high‑volume kitchen
Ability to handle 100 plus covers during busy services
Strong communication, reliability and work ethic
Ability to work under pressure and in a seasonal environment
Someone who takes pride in consistent, quality food
