That’s right — KANDOS!

A small country town with a surprisingly big story, tucked into the beautiful Cudgegong Valley, just over an half hour from Mudgee.
🏗️Cement built the town! Kandos grew around its famous cement works, which began production more than 100 years ago and played an important role in building NSW.
🏎️ Petrol heads, this one’s for you! Kandos comes alive for events like the Street Machine & Hot Rod Show, attracting plenty of impressive wheels and plenty of country-town atmosphere.
🍷 Long Lunch anyone? The annual Long Lunch through the centre of town is a celebration of local food, wine and community — definitely worth planning a weekend around!
🎨 Cementa brings a completely different side of Kandos to life, turning the town into a huge celebration of contemporary art and creativity.
🐎 And then there’s Jessie Hickman — the “Lady Bushranger” — who roamed the rugged country around Kandos and Rylstone, adding a little outlaw history to the region!
See… Kandos is one of those little towns that packs a LOT into a weekend! ❤️

Room for the whole family?
Umm… technically, yes. 😂
At Kirsten Accommodation Mudgee, we believe holidays are better when everyone comes along — the kids, the favourite pillow, the board games… and apparently the entire family on ONE bed! 🤣
This colourful crew was captured at our gorgeous Olivia House, and honestly, we think it sums up family holidays pretty perfectly.

Come for the weekend.

The Kirsten Crew kicked off the new season in the best possible way — an evening at the beautiful Rosby Art, Wines & Guesthouse for the launch of the latest Mudgee Magazine from Mudgee Region • NSW 🍷

Good people, good drinks, plenty of laughs and one spectacular Mudgee sunset. 🌅

It was one of those evenings that reminds us just how lucky we are to live and work in this beautiful corner of the world.

Whether you’re heading through for a day trip or adding it to a longer Central West adventure, Cowra is definitely worth putting on the list.
