75 ml of rain has certainly added a green tinge to the country. Possibly a bit late in the season for much growth, but thankful for the full tanks and greenness even if short lived. 🙏

"Starry nights at Piralilla Cabins ✨🌌

The sky’s been behaving like it’s showing off — so impressive, I tried some iPhone photography (first pic: mine: amateur blur), then our most recent guest Scott Lunn came through with these pro-level shots.

So a huge thanks to Scott for these stunning photos — the country sky here is unbeatable without city light pollution. Endless constellations, a few shooting stars, and a peaceful silence that makes the universe feel close enough to touch. Book a stay to see it for yourself.

Grateful for our wonderful guests and the simple freedom farm life gives us. Days here are often calm and steady, but balancing jobs, cabins, and farm tasks can be a juggle. I’ll finish a shift and head straight to clean a cabin — not a chore, but a pleasure. Preparing each space for visitors is an honor, and the little notes and kind messages guests leave make it all so worthwhile. Their curiosity and appreciation remind me how lucky we are.

Slow mornings in a hand-built cabin, grassy cow paddock out the window, outdoor wood-fired bath at dusk. We cherish this mantra, which hangs on the wall. No rush, no stress— just honest wood, warm light, and room to breathe.

Proof we have the best Airbnb guests in the country! Walked into the cabin this morning to find a wonderful surprise — a beautifully framed photo of Bruce left on the bed by our guests Heidi and Robbie from Elite Flicks Toowoomba. The shot was taken during a previous stay and perfectly captures Show Business of Cheviot - aka Bruce — he absolutely relishes the spotlight. Heidi mentioned I could keep or sell it... keeping, of course. Thank you, Heidi & Robbie — that was a lovely, unexpected gift - made our day
