November is the month Noosa keeps for itself. 🤍

The Tri packed up on Sunday and took the crowd with it. What is left is 24-degree water, jacarandas out all over town, turtles starting to come ashore, and a table at any restaurant on Hastings Street without a booking.

Save this one. Then have a look at what is still open before December disappears.

Sunday morning the run course comes through Hastings Street and the whole place is out on the footpath with a coffee.

Then back to the villa, kids in the pool by eleven, everyone asleep by two.

Being able to walk home mid-morning is the entire advantage of this address.

The Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival runs 28 October to 1 November. Five days of it, finishing with the big one on the Sunday.

If you're racing, you're fifty metres from the swim and ten metres from a decent coffee. If you're watching, the course comes right past.

Either way, park the car once and leave it there.

This is a Tuesday in October. That's the whole post.

No school holidays. No Christmas crowds. The water's warm enough, the track is quiet, and you can get a table anywhere without thinking about it.

Locals will tell you this is the best month, then ask you not to repeat it.

December is closer than it looks.

One week out. Have you sorted where you're staying?

Noosa Triathlon is next week, 28 October to 1 November.

If you're racing, this is the address you want. A short walk to the swim, ten metres to a coffee, and parking directly underneath your own villa, which matters more than you'd think when there's a bike going in and out.

The family gets a proper base too, rather than a hotel room to sit in while you're out on the course.

We usually have something. Call us before you look anywhere else.

All of it a short walk from the front gate, in the order you'll probably need it.

Boardwalk Bistro for breakfast with your feet basically in the sand. Longboards for the coffee. Betty's when nobody wants to cook. MissChu for takeaway back to the villa. Bistro C for the long lunch that turns into the afternoon, and yes, order the calamari. Bang Bang when the whole family wants dinner out and everyone wants something different.

That's the week sorted, and the car does not move once.

The water warms up past 22 degrees, the school holidays wrap on the 5th, and from the second week the beach feels like it belongs to whoever got there first. Then the Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival rolls in from 28 October and the whole town turns out for it.
