Another great reason to visit Pemberton 🌲🚴‍♂️

The new Arboretum Trails are officially open and look amazing for families, beginners and experienced riders alike. Perfect to add to your next South West getaway ✨

New Trails in Pemberton!

We’re very excited to announce that the Pemberton Arboretum Trails are officially open 🥳

The Arboretum Trails are a huge step forward for Pemberton, offering a family-friendly riding experience with plenty of progression opportunities for riders looking to build confidence and develop their skills.

One of the best parts? The new trail network is incredibly accessible from town and the existing MTB Park: simply park the car and ride straight out.

The addition of the Arboretum really rounds out Pemberton’s trail offering, with a great mix of steep and mellow terrain, tech and flow, machine-built and hand-built trails. There’s truly something for everyone, all within riding distance of town.

Head over to Trailforks or TrailsWA to explore the new network and start planning your next ride.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life: from the early planning stages through to the trail builders, land managers, project teams and volunteers. It’s been fantastic to see so many people come together with a shared vision and passion to create a welcoming trail network with fun for all riders.

Something magical is lighting up the skies…

The Eta Aquariids Meteor Shower—created by debris from Halley’s Comet—is set to peak on 6–7 May.

At Stargazers, it’s one of those magical experiences—stepping outside your cottage or glamping tent, fire crackling nearby, and watching shooting stars overhead.

Wrap up by the fire, grab a blanket, and make a night of it..

Best viewing: early morning (around 3am–just before sunrise) on 6–7 May
Direction: generally looking east / north-east
You could see 10–20 meteors per hour in ideal conditions
The darker the sky (less moonlight/cloud), the better the show

Debris left in the wake of Halley's Comet creates an annual meteor shower that brightens the sky with streaks of light. 💫🔭

This year, mark your calendars for 6-7 May, when peak meteor activity from the Eta Aquariids Shower is expected 🌠

The night skies are putting on a show…

One of the world’s oldest meteor showers, the Lyrids, is wrapping up this week, but the magic doesn’t stop there…

Early May brings the Eta Aquariids, peaking May 5–6, and one of the best meteor showers for the Southern Hemisphere. Known for fast, bright shooting stars, it’s a beautiful reminder to slow down, look up, and take it all in.

✨ Best time to watch: Dark hours after midnight, especially from around 2:00am through to dawn.

This time of year is perfect for stargazing here at Stargazers, crisp evenings, quiet forest surrounds, and minimal light pollution create the ideal setting for a truly unforgettable night sky experience.

If you’ve been thinking about a peaceful May escape, now is the moment. Enquire about our Stay 3, Pay 2 offer this May.

One of the most special parts of staying at Stargazers Forest Hideaway is sharing the grounds with our gentle kangaroo visitors

Most of the kangaroos you’ll see here are Western Grey Kangaroos, a beautiful native species that live throughout the South West forests. They’re usually spotted grazing in the mornings and late afternoons, quietly moving through the trees or resting on the grass near the cottages.

If you’re lucky, you might even spot a tiny joey peeking out from mum’s pouch — always a guest favourite.

They’re creatures of habit, a little curious, and wonderfully calm in our peaceful forest setting. Watching them while you enjoy a coffee on the deck is one of those simple Stargazers moments people remember long after their stay.

Have you spotted the kangaroos during your visit with us?
