One of the oldest pubs in Port Adelaide, the British Hotel has been beautifully renovated consisting of two dining areas, a large upstairs function room, and a cellar. Come and enjoy a fabulous meal, while you overlook the Port River. Happy Hour is every weekday in the British Hotel. From Monday to Thursday Happy Hour is from 5 to 6 PM. Pints of house beer & house wine are only $5! Every Friday is a Happy Friday here at the British Hotel in Port Adelaide. Come and grab a Pint of James Squire beer, or a Coopers Pale Ale, a Super Dry or a Cider. There is something for everyone and only $5 from 5pm, $6 from 6pm, and $7 from 7pm till we close! Also, enjoy some natural or Kilpatrick oysters, which range from $1.50 each from 5pm-8:30pm, while listening to our weekly live music every Friday evening.

🎶 LET'S KEEP LIVE LOCAL MUSIC ALIVE AT THE BRITISH! 🎶

At The British Hotel, we're passionate about supporting local musicians and bringing live entertainment to Port Adelaide.

We often hear people asking for more live music at their local pubs, and we couldn't agree more! That's why we've been making the effort to book talented local artists and provide a place for them to perform.

And the best part? Our live music is completely FREE! 🎸

No tickets, no cover charges. Just great local musicians, good food, cold drinks and a welcoming atmosphere.

However, we also want to be open with our community.

Unfortunately, attendance at some of our recent live music nights has been quite low.

While the entertainment is free for everyone attending, there are still costs involved in putting these nights on. As a venue, we're happy to invest in supporting local talent, but without people coming through the doors, it becomes difficult to sustain.

We often hear how important it is to support local music, but that support needs to extend beyond words. It means showing up, enjoying the entertainment and helping create an atmosphere that makes these nights worthwhile for everyone involved.

We're certainly not expecting everyone to attend every performance. We understand people have busy lives, and we appreciate everyone who has already come along and supported our musicians.

But if you'd like to see live music continue at The British, we'd genuinely love to see you!

🎶 Bring a few mates and enjoy some great local talent.

You don't have to spend a fortune to make a difference. Sometimes just being there is enough to help create a great night.

We want The British to be a place where local musicians can thrive and our community can come together to enjoy live entertainment.
