When the tides are high and your throat is dry, the place to be is Little P!!

Let the coffee guns at Little Parliament start your day right! Shout out to supervisor gun Shari and young gun Taya for outstanding coffee culture ☕️ It’s a two coffee day ❤️❤️

Low tide is 4.18pm today. Drive safely and watch out for our kids.

Driving on K'gari's beaches is part of what makes a trip to the island so magical. If you haven't driven on the beach before here a few tips:

4WD Only ➡ K'gari is strictly 4WD accessible - make sure your vehicle is high clearance and suited for sand.

Be prepared ➡ take some recovery gear such as a sn**ch strap, recovery tracks and shovel.

Time it right ➡ it is best to drive on the beach 2 hours either side of the low tide. When the tide is out you will have more beach, with firmer sand to drive on. You will also be able to travel on the beach around Hook Point instead of having to take the inland track (which bypasses the point but is slow and bumpy)

Lower tyre pressure ➡ 18-20psi is usually recommended.

Follow tracks ➡ stick to established wheel ruts, they're usually firmer and safer.

Obey road rules ➡ All QLD road rules apply and are enforced. Do not speed- washouts are sometimes hard to see until you are right on top them.

Team Up ➡ if you travel with another vehicle they can provide assistance with recovery efforts.

Enjoy the adventure! Happy Monday 🚙😀

Here is something we don’t see every day!! Luna has brought us a spanner crab as a gift!!

Did you know the spanner crab is one of Australia’s hidden seafood gems? 🦀
These bright red-orange crabs (yes, they look cooked even when they’re alive!) live buried in the sandy bottoms off Queensland and northern NSW coasts. Unlike other crabs, they walk forwards and backwards, and their claws look just like a spanner. Unlike other crabs they are caught on a flat hoop coved in net with the bait in the middle, these unique crabs then get caught by their flippers. Soak times are short and the method is extremely safe for undersize and female spanner crabs, and by-catch is basically zero.
Queensland has the biggest spanner crab fishery in the world, and the meat is pure gold — sweet, delicate and some of the best crab you’ll ever taste.
Tin Can Bay has just started the commercial harvest season of these tasty guys. We’d encourage you to go try them if you haven’t before and support our local sustainable commercial fisheries.

Good MORNING THIS IS LIVIN FEST 2026! A huge day at Rainbow Beach today for the This is Livin Fest! Jamie Milverton has sent in this awesome shot to celebrate the day with Paul Stanley-Jones. Have a great day folks, enjoy, clean up after yourself, look after your mate, don’t drink drive and drive two hours either side of low tide.
