Receiving the AHA|SA Country Restaurant award has given us a moment to reflect on the people and produce behind Temperance.

Our menus begin with conversations with growers, what’s in season and the ingredients available close to home. Alongside our local w**emakers, these relationships help us share something of the Riverland and South Australia at every table.

Our final event for the year, on Saturday 14 November, continues that story. Across five courses, we’ll follow the Murray’s journey in reverse — beginning at the Southern Ocean, through the Coorong and into the river, before arriving home among the orchards of the Riverland.

It’s an evening inspired by the landscapes, communities and produce connected by the water we share.

These awards are a wonderful recognition of the passion, dedication and hard work that goes into everything we do, from showcasing our beautiful Riverland region to delivering exceptional dining experiences at Temperance.

As a community-owned hotel, these achievements mean so much more; they reflect the dedication of our incredible team, the ongoing support and guidance from our Board, and the wonderful community that continues to stand behind us.

🌸 TEMPERANCE IN BLOOM 🌸

An evening celebrating the beauty of spring, regional produce and the flavours of the Riverland.

On Friday evening, we welcomed guests to the Hotel Renmark Terrace for Temperance in Bloom, held in celebration of the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival.

With seasonal canapés, thoughtfully selected Riverland w**es, beautiful floral arrangements and live acoustic music, the evening brought together everything we love about spring in the Riverland.

A special thank you to Blooms by Wilde, our local floral supplier, for bringing the Terrace to life with stunning blooms, Caitlin Holdcroft for providing the perfect acoustic soundtrack, and Ross Menz Image Solutions for capturing the evening so beautifully.

To our wonderful guests, local producers and the entire Temperance team, thank you for making the evening such a memorable celebration.

A beautiful night of food, w**e, flowers and wonderful company. 🌷🥂
