Whilst some of our campers chose not to make the journey due to the petrol situation - both cost and supply - at the time (which we fully appreciated), those who did come were treated to some wonderful weather and thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Cannot believe it has been 12 months since Brent and Melissa had their self organised, catered, amazing set up (floral arrangements of various types including fantastic wagon wheels hanging from the ceiling of their marquee, classic dinner sets, glasses, vases, candle holders, vintage claw foot bath tub, classic cake and savory display stands, the list is endless. We are certain they are as happy now as they were then and still thanking their wonderful friends who assisted with the set up, washing up and, packing away of all the timeless pieces that made the day as perfect as it was.
Happy anniversary Brent and Melissa

The weather has lost its heat somewhat for the May Day long weekend with happy campers arriving to make the most of the last long weekend until September.

The walls have begun (with the outside skin erected) in the Tiny House outside kitchen area with a 3x6m decking area housing the fridge, sink, cooking/preparation area and table/seating. Still room for the children and pets to run around in the fenced off area along with a fire pit to enjoy on the cooler evenings. The plan is to have running water to the sink with the rain water run off from the roofs being captured and funneled to containers with a pump that will service the accommodation nicely. With air conditioning a Queen bed and bunks it is a reasonably priced accommodation for 2 to 4 people. New photos to come up of the progress soon.

As for the Lodge our friend Paul who upgraded the ensuite (which I am still smiling about) has turned his attention to the main bathroom. The spa bath (which cannot be used due to water supply) is being removed with a large shower cubicle replacing it. This will be advantageous for all guests, especially the ones not too keen on having to make the BIG step in and out of the tub..... watch this space for the photos ... work to commence end of May.

Tony's brother, Richard, spent 2 days hand painting the toilet/manual shower room attached to the covered amenity block in the unpowered camp site area. It certainly has made a difference and we thank him for travelling from Melbourne to do it :)

We appreciate all campers supporting us and we look forward to many more years of seeing your smiling faces.

Thank you

If you have taken some photos of your catch, your camp or, the wildlife, please either post them to the page or email them to us and we will include them [email protected]

The grounds have dried out nicely for Easter
We still have some powered and unpowered camp sites available for Easter, give us a call or message to secure the last few sites.

07/02/2026

The second week of February is here and planning for Easter🐰 is underway. Good Friday 3rd April is less than 2 months away and bookings are already being made for the powered an unpowered sites ...... we look forward to hearing from you to ensure you get the site you love. πŸŒ³πŸš™πŸ•οΈ

The Lodge is booked from the 3rd to the 6th but if you have time off other than those dates we are certain you will enjoy some restful time around the fire pit while having a BBQ πŸ”₯Tucking the young ones into bed after a full day of swimming, riding their bikes or playing board games or perhaps settling down to watch a movie.

At present the Twin Vans - Tiny House and Sterling van are available for the Easter period along with 5 Powered sites - there are numerous unpowered sites available at the moment but past experience has shown they fill fast over the next 4 weeks.

It will still be warm enough for a swim in the dam - at least for the younger members of your family - and the fish will still be there for you to play the game of, who wins πŸŽ£πŸš£β€β™‚οΈπŸŸ

In the run up to Easter the weather appears to be perfect for a restful weekend away as the temperatures are comfortable and evenings have a touch of cool about them.

See you soon

It was wonderful to see guests take advantage of the Lodge, Tiny House and Twin vans over the Australia Day long weekend. The laughter of children and adults could be heard from the dam area as the floated, kayaked, boarded and swam in the dam whilst some enjoyed a BBQ being able to keep a close watch on their young ones.

Since then some one night stays in the Twin vans and the Tiny house, saw the accommodations being used so a quick getaway means organising food, drinks and clothes with no packing up and followed by cleaning camping gear/vans and linen. With the weather being accommodating in staying fine but not overly hot 🌞☺️

Some light refreshing rain has freshened up the grounds and bringing on more growth in the grassed areas whilst feeding the communal vegie and herb garden and also the number of fruit trees that have planted with the aim to offer guests the opportunity to pick fresh fruit while they are spending their weekend/holiday with us. Banana, Mandarin, Lime, Blueberries, Avocado, Lemon, Guava, Oranges and Apples. I am pushing for Paw Paw - let us know what you may like to see added.

Don't forget to pick yourself up a jar of Tom's homemade Marmalade - made with local Mandarins, Lemons, Oranges with a dash of Irish Whisky - whilst Grandmas marmalade is definitely still a must Tom's is an experience all will enjoy without being tart with return guests looking for some to take home with. At $10 it is a bargain. Ask at the Office.

Perfect time for some camping at the moment being cool enough for a camp fire- in the fire pits - in the evening. The fish are still playing their games and making the anglers work hard for a catch but, they are there, even some Grunter and Jack or two being caught off the boat ramp. The crabs have been washed into the creek and have been plentiful with full bellies. We respectfully request you ensure you check the pots you are looking at have your name tag on them - appreciate they all the same at times.

Give us a call to check what the weather is like here as we do not come under the forecast for Bundaberg and, many time for the Rosedale township. Happy to give you an honest update on what it is like.

The road in has been graded by Council and is a pretty good run.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Stay well and be safe on the roads.
