A single stem, a little sunlight, a moment to enjoy. 🌿

With soft green colour and bubbles suspended within the glass, the BULLE vase by Sghr Sugahara catches the light beautifully, bringing a gentle sparkle to everyday spaces.

Since ancient times, aromatic woods have been revered as sacred trees in cultures around the world. Used in prayer and rituals to cleanse the body, mind and surrounding space, they carry wisdom passed down through generations.

Drawing on this ancestral wisdom, CHIË brings these timeless traditions into modern life. Each incense is crafted using only natural aromatic ingredients and plant powders, without added fragrance.

Connect with nature, and let your mind be free.🫧

Chinjukan Kiln (沈壽官窯) is one of Japan’s most distinguished Satsuma ware kilns, carrying a ceramic tradition that has continued for more than 420 years.

The kiln is especially renowned for White Satsuma ware (白薩摩), an exceptionally refined style recognised for its warm ivory body, delicate crackled glaze, intricate hand-painted decoration and fine gold detailing. Historically associated with the Satsuma domain, White Satsuma was highly prized for its elegance and craftsmanship, standing apart from ceramics made primarily for everyday use.

Sugahara’s artisans work with sensitivity and attentiveness, responding to how the glass moves, softens, stretches, and settles in that exact moment. Craftspeople are not merely executing designs — they are deeply involved in creation itself, listening to the glass as it glows and transforms, and capturing the precise moment when its form feels right.

Designed to highlight the beauty of rising bubbles, delicate air beads are scattered within the glass, catching the light as ch*****ne is poured. Its tall, slender form also works beautifully as a single-stem vase, letting you enjoy the gentle dialogue between bubbles captured in glass and bubbles rising in ch*****ne.

The story of Mikawachi ware (三河内焼き) began in 1598 in the hills above Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture (長崎県佐世保市). For generations, its porcelain was created for the lords of the Hirado domain and as prestigious presentation pieces, rather than for ordinary commercial production.

The expectation was always exceptional craftsmanship, and this freedom to work without prioritising speed or cost shaped Mikawachi ware into something extraordinarily delicate and precise—porcelain that can feel closer to drawing or sculpture than everyday pottery.

Hirado Kosho Danemon Kiln (平戸洸祥団右ヱ衛門窯) has inherited this tradition through the Nakazato family, with the current head, Nakazato Taiyo(中里太陽), representing the eighteenth generation. For the family, preserving the kiln is not simply about reproducing old designs, but about protecting the skills, patience and way of thinking passed down over centuries, while allowing this historic craftsmanship to remain meaningful in modern life.
