❄️ A cold front may bring snow falls to southern WA this weekend!❄️

The Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Jessica Lingard says a cold front will hit overnight Friday bringing the chance of snow flurries on the Stirling Range and potentially on the smaller Porongrups.

Ms Lingard says the best chance of snow will be just after sunrise on Saturday morning.

There's also a chance of more snowfalls on Monday as a second front crosses southern WA.

Bluff Knoll, the highest peak, in the Stirling Range records snowfalls a couple of times a year on average.

Chance of 1cm of snow at Bluff Knoll very early this Saturday morning!

Remember to come prepared with the hiking boots, layered thermal clothing, and jackets. Be prepared for wind and rain as well as snow! Carry water, snacks and a thermos with a hot drink. Don’t forget to stay on the trail!!!!
