Ace Hotel Sydney and Four Pillars present After Work, After Dark — three nights of takeovers with some of Australia’s greatest drinks talent across The Lobby and Kiln. Each bartender will create two special drinks for the night, served at The Lobby from 5pm and the Kiln bar from 9pm til late. There are three hero nights of bartender takeovers across both venues:

Thursday October 22 — Dominic Xavier (Hands Down, MELB)
Thursday November 12 — Darren Leaney (Caretaker’s Cottage, MELB)
Thursday December 3 — AC (Double Deuce, SYD)

Plus, all cocktails will feature on Ace’s Happy Hour menu in the The Lobby for $16 daily from 4pm-6pm, alongside more great drinks and snacks, and the late night bar menu at Kiln’s alongside a snack menu by Isobel Whelan-Little. We’ve got live music and DJs lined up at both, so come early, stay late, or do both.

Our friends at Flack Studio helped us assemble a wide-ranging band of artists at the forefront of contemporary Australian art, compiling a playful and luminous showcase of Australia’s renegade artistic spirit.

An evening celebrating Afterimage.

Friends, drinks, music and a chance to experience ’s new exhibition, ‘Afterimage’, at Good Chemistry.

The works, created throughout his residency, include paintings and site-specific wall decals, brought together through layered materials, fragmented forms and cross-cultural references.

Six artists. Six limited-edition cocktails.

To celebrate Sydney Contemporary, our friends Saison Aperitifs have taken inspiration from the work of leading contemporary artists to create a series of special cocktails, available from August 26 to September 6.

A highlight is , whose artwork adorns our Lobby and is the inspiration behind the Walnut Sour; a cocktail featuring Saison Black Walnut Vermouth, wh***ey, verjuice, pecan, vanilla and Wonderfoam (first pic).
