🌿 A little rainforest adventure on Tamborine Mountain 🦋

Today I took some time to explore the beautiful Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, and what a lovely experience!

From towering ancient trees and peaceful rainforest pathways to colourful butterflies and a curious water dragon, there's so much natural beauty to discover right here on our mountain. 🌳🦎

One of the things I love about living on Tamborine Mountain is having these wonderful experiences right on our doorstep.

For our guests at Mountain Sanctuary Retreat, it's just another reason to slow down, explore and enjoy everything this beautiful mountain has to offer. 💚

🌿🌺 A little rain, a little sunshine, and so much to be grateful for! ☀️💚

We've been blessed with some beautiful, much-needed rain here on Tamborine Mountain. Our gardens are coming alive, the flowers are bursting into bloom, and our rainwater tanks are getting a welcome top-up! 🌧️🌸

And now, as the sunshine peeks through the clouds, we're reminded just how fortunate we are to call this beautiful mountain home.

There's something truly special about slowing down, listening to the gentle rain, the birds singing and the sounds of nature all around us. 🦜🌿

At Mountain Sanctuary Retreat, it's these simple moments that make life so beautiful.

Whether it's enjoying a morning coffee surrounded by lush gardens, relaxing on our peaceful outdoor deck, or simply taking time to breathe and unwind, there's always something to appreciate.

🌿❤️ Mornings like these… ❤️🌿

Just outside our front door at Mountain Sanctuary Retreat, we were greeted by these two beautiful Australian king parrots. 🦜

Colin decided to offer them a little food from his hand, and before we knew it, they were happily taking turns, completely relaxed and trusting.

No rush, no fear… just two beautiful birds sharing a little moment with us. ❤️

It's mornings like these that remind us how wonderful life really is. The simple things, the beauty of nature, and those unexpected little moments that make you stop, smile and appreciate where you are.

Feeling incredibly grateful to call this little piece of paradise home. 🌿💚

Morning bath time at Mountain Sanctuary 🌿🐦💦
I discovered this old bird bath hidden away amongst the flowers and greenery and decided to bring it a little more into view for our guests to enjoy over breakfast.

This morning, it seems our feathered visitors approved. 🤍 They splashed, bathed and thoroughly enjoyed themselves such a simple, beautiful little moment to watch from the breakfast room.

Just another morning on Tamborine Mountain. 🌿

Some mornings at Mountain Sanctuary Retreat are just a little more magical than others. 🌿🦘💚

This beautiful mum and her tiny joey stopped beneath our mulberry tree for breakfast this morning — and just look at that little face! 🥹

The joey was happily nibbling away, then suddenly looked straight at me as if to say, “Yes, I see you!” 😍

These are the quiet little moments we love sharing with our guests — waking up on Tamborine Mountain with our beautiful local wildlife right outside. 🌿

I think the Reel works really well now. And yes, the caption can tell the bigger story that the Reel itself doesn't: the flowers aren't just something that suddenly appeared for spring — the garden has been giving you colour throughout the year, and some of those flowers even make their way onto the breakfast table.

🌸 There always seems to be something in bloom at Mountain Sanctuary Retreat.

Spring may be bringing even more colour to the garden, but one of the beautiful surprises of living here has been watching flowers bloom almost right throughout the year.

From brilliant hibiscus and delicate azaleas to Alstroemerias and Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow, every little walk through the garden seems to reveal something new. 🌺🌿

And sometimes, a beautiful bloom makes its way from the garden straight onto our breakfast table — a little piece of the mountain for our guests to enjoy. 🌸☕️

Nature really does put on a show here.

From bare branches to breakfast bowls. 🌿🫐
It wasn’t long ago that our mulberry tree looked almost completely bare… and then suddenly, it came alive.
Of course, the locals noticed too. 😂 Our pademelons, cockatoos and resident brush turkeys are all quite happy to share in the harvest.
And what they leave for us? Fresh mulberries picked straight from the garden and added to our guests’ breakfast fruit bowls at Mountain Sanctuary Retreat.
Grown here. Shared with the wildlife. Served at our table. ❤️

There really are some magical places on Tamborine Mountain. 🌿🌸
The Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens are one of them — beautiful rainforest, peaceful walks, gorgeous flowers and plenty of lovely little spots to sit and enjoy a picnic.
Even more special is knowing that these beautiful gardens are cared for by a dedicated community of volunteers. 💚
And when you want to make an occasion a little more extraordinary, Natachia from creates the most beautiful picnic experiences around the mountain — including right here in the Botanic Gardens.
From proposals and anniversaries to birthdays, baby showers, weddings or simply celebrating someone special… sometimes it's not about doing more. It's about creating a moment you'll remember. 🥂🤍
