🐎 If interested, ask a staff member how to get involved 🐎

Rules as followed:

Melbourne Cup Day Tipping Comp

Where you’ll be tipping: Melbourne and Sydney

How to tip: Tips will be filled out on a piece of paper to be handed to one of our staff.
There will be each race individually marked out with space to place name and number
of your selection - 10 Races Melbourne & 10 Races Sydney.

Collecting Tipping Sheet: Once paid, you will receive your tipping sheet.

Tips due: by 5pm Monday 2nd November - At the Downs Hotel.

If your tips are late, you will automatically get every fixed favourite in each race (as
per Sportsbet Odds)

Buy in: $50 Cash (Must Pay Before Fully Entered & Marked off by a staff member).

Points system: The points will work by being paid the final dividend of your selection
if it runs in the top 3. As Per Sportsbet Odds.

Example One -
Your selection wins and pays receive 13.9 points.
$10.30 for the win & $3.60 for the place you win

Example Two -
If you pick a roughie and it runs 2nd or 3rd and pays $14.20 a place, you will receive 14.2 points.

If there is a race with less than 8 runners and there is no third dividend and you run third - bad luck. The one source of truth for all points will be Sportsbet dividends.

Last Place - gets their money back $50
Second Place - doubles their money $100
First Place - wins the rest of the pot

You will need a selection in all SR & MR races on the day.

Scratching rule:
• If your horse is a late scratching, you’ll automatically get the favourite in that
race (as per Sportsbet odds).
• If you send staff your tips with a scratching you will automatically get the favourite in that race
(as per Sportsbet odds).

All SR & MR races are in play and every point/dollar counts!
