It never ceases to surprise me who visits our little town.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming author Michael J Murphy whose book "Beneath the Willow" proudly sits on our shelf.
We first met Michael some years ago when we helped him with some information regarding his family members who served in World War One, at the time he was about to head to the Western Front, so it was timely.

Following the launch of Michael's book, it's been a few years since we've seen each other, so today's visit came as a bit of a welcome shock. It was great to chat and talk about future opportunities, we're looking forward to see what happens next.

Also a huge shoutout and thankyou to the management and board of the Batlow RSL Club whose foresight and initiative has seen the opening of two new businesses in the space of six months. The lower precinct of the club is well and truly alive and we're so proud to be a small part of it.

On Saturday 20 June, enjoy a stand-up lunch before the unveiling of Samantha Whittingham's stunning new "Bird House" installation, the newest addition to the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail.

We're honoured to welcome The Hon. Andrew Bell AC, Chief Justice of New South Wales, who will officially unveil the artwork at 2pm.
