𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁...

It started with a pretty simple realisation: life got loud, fast, and crowded, and places where you can genuinely disconnect are getting harder to find.

We didn’t build the Outpost to run a packed campground or turn over busloads of tourists. We built it because this stretch of the New England high country does something to you. When you’re down in the granite gorges of the Severn, tracking deer along the ridges, or sitting around a fire with zero reception and zero noise, everything slows down to where it should be.

We wanted to create a place where families, mates, and keen fishermen could step right into the wild without having to rough it to the bone. Somewhere the kids can swap screens for skipping stones and dirty boots. Somewhere you get an entire valley and 6km of the Severn river to yourselves.

No shared tracks. No crowded banks. Just the bush, the river, and the space to breathe.

That’s why the Outpost exists.

Tim, reviews like yours are exactly why we do this. We poured everything into building the Outpost, and hearing it captured so vividly means the world to us.

We had to crop his review down to fit our tile, but honestly, every single word deserves to be read — so here's the review in full:

This is our first ever guest review, and it means more than words can say 🙏 We built the Outpost to share our dream with others, and reading this makes it all feel real. Thank you Jamey for trusting us with your time away — we're so grateful, and can't wait to have you back.

A day at the river...

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗨𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦

Off-grid, on purpose. Rugged simplicity, real comfort.

3,500 acres, 6km of Severn River frontage — granite gorges, rushing rapids, waterholes that are all yours for the duration of your stay.

Cast a line for Cod or Yellowbelly. Walk the bush. Bring the mountain bikes. Swim in the river. Watch for fallow deer and birdlife by the dam. Cook a BBQ by the water, or just slow right down with a book.

The Hut is open-plan and bathed in natural light, with curtainless windows framing the ridges and the dam beyond. A streamlined kitchen and wood-fire heater round out the comfort once the high-country evenings turn crisp.

Once the sun drops, settle in at the stone fire pit and watch the stars take over.
