As the Milky Way season comes to a close, you’ll catch a glimpse of the Milky Way band appearing parallel to the western horizon in the October evening skies.

For now, we say our goodbyes to our Galaxy Centre views until next year 👋🏻🌌 While the Milky Way bids its farewell, we have plenty of other magical sights to see in the meantime. It's planet season with Venus, Saturn and soon Jupiter!

When you look at a star or any other object in space, you are seeing how it looked in the past!

The Sun appears as it was 8.5 minutes ago; the view of Alpha Centauri is 4.3 years old, and the appearance of Sirius is more than 8 years old.

Pretty mind-boggling to think about time like that!
