A beautiful way to experience the history and landscape of Mount William Station is through the eyes of Angela Abbott, a family relative and accomplished Australian painter.

Born in Melbourne in 1940, Angela studied drawing at the National Gallery Art School and painting at the Victorian Artists Society. She later received the Alice Bale Art Travelling Scholarship, studying fine art across Europe, and has exhibited widely throughout Melbourne and Sydney. Today, she is a Fellow of the Victorian Artists Society and a long-standing studio artist at Montsalvat.

Over the years, Angela has captured Mount William Station in a series of distinctive works - from sweeping views towards the Grampians mountain range to the historic woolshed, surrounding farmland, Shearers’ Quarters and Lake Anne.

Her paintings offer a very personal interpretation of the Station, reflecting both the character of the landscape and the places that have shaped generations of life here.

During your stay, take the time to explore the Homestead and discover these works throughout the house - part of a collection that connects the Station’s family history, its landscape and its enduring sense of place.

Spring has arrived at Mount William Station!
Trees are in bloom and the first signs of the warmer months are appearing around the Homestead.

It won’t be long before afternoons are spent outside, drink in hand, soaking up the sunshine and the gardens in full bloom.

A beautiful season is just beginning.

More than a week in the saddle.

There’s something very special about welcoming our horse riding groups to Mount William Station - days spent riding beneath the Grampians, followed by evenings back at the Homestead over good w**e and beautiful food.

And you don’t need to ride to be part of it. Non-riding partners and friends are very welcome to come along - simply to enjoy the property, slow down, or explore our renowned w**e and hiking region.

As one recent guest shared:

“This was the best week of my life. Every single element was curated, crafted and designed with care and luxury to make us feel so special and have the best time.”

Thank you for staying with us and a special thank you to our past guests for sharing these beautiful photos.

Very proud to see Mount William Station named by .melbourne among The Best Restaurants in Regional Victoria Worth the Drive in 2026.

At the heart of the experience is Executive Chef Luke Wakefield’s nightly three-course menu - shaped by what’s growing in our kitchen garden and some of the exceptional producers surrounding us here in Western Victoria.

Thank you .melbourne and Kelsey Harrington for the wonderful feature and for including us amongst some of regional Victoria’s best dining destinations.

And a little reminder: you don’t need to be staying with us to join us for dinner!

Reservations are essential.

From the Grampians landscape to your plate.

Our Kangaroo Parmentier celebrates one of Australia's most iconic native ingredients. Slow-braised wild kangaroo is layered with caramelised leek and topped with a silky potato mousseline, before being finished with Shiraz vinegar gel, garden thyme, and herb butter.

A dish that reflects Chef Luke Wakefield's philosophy - honouring exceptional local produce with restraint, precision, and respect.

Served as part of our seasonal three-course dining experience at Mount William Station.

A beautiful day of movement, connection and good food at Mount William Station.

The recent Yoga & Lunch Day hosted by brought guests together for a sun-filled yoga session, followed by a shared lunch experience served in the Green Room.

We loved hearing that the day felt like “something very special” - from the warmth of the yoga space with a view, to the food, and the thoughtful service throughout the day.

Thank you to Yoga in Nature, Grampians for bringing the group together, and to everyone who joined!
