Ten minutes’ walk from the villa, there’s a creek that slows the whole day down.
An hour at the water, then back up the hill with nothing left to do but pour a drink, watch the light go gold and actually talk to each other.

Some mornings the hinterland arrives wrapped in cloud.
Coffee on the terrace, mist lifting off the ridge, birdsong before anyone else is awake. Guests tell us they could sit and watch it for hours.
