Wollongong Golf Club Named Finalist in Prestigious NSW Community Awards ✨

WGC is honoured to have been named a finalist in the Social Inclusion category at the 2026 Clubs & Community Awards, recognising the club’s commitment to preserving the legacy of City Diggers and supporting veterans through dedicated, long‑term community partnership.

Presented by ClubsNSW, the Clubs & Community Awards celebrate the positive impact clubs make across New South Wales. Wollongong Golf Club is the only Illawarra club shortlisted in the Social Inclusion category this year.

The finalist recognition follows the club’s submission, “A Legacy of Service Preserved Through Partnerships”, which reflects a shared story between Wollongong Golf Club and the City of Wollongong RSL Sub‑Branch - one grounded in respect, continuity and community leadership.

The Social Inclusion category recognises initiatives that foster connection, respect and belonging. For Wollongong Golf Club, the finalist announcement affirms a long‑held belief that community clubs exist to serve people first.

Winners of the 2026 Clubs & Community Awards will be announced on Thursday, 11 June, at a gala ceremony at ICC Sydney.

“The Flower Moon”, or the first Moon in May, falls on the evening of May 1st - the night of the tasting.

The Flower Moon takes its name from the prime growing and flowering period of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, whilst in Australia we see new opportunity as the last of the season is harvested.

So, we present six outstanding wines that will all disappear after this May, as the vintages change from June.

All wineries are actively adopting traditional biodynamic / lunar-based planting philosophies.
