🌾 BACKPACKERS WANTED – FARM WORK | SOUTH AUSTRALIA 🐑🐄

We are looking for two reliable backpackers to join us on our ‘sister property’ which is a cattle, sheep and cropping property located between Keith and Bordertown, South Australia.

🔨 Work includes:

Fencing and general farm maintenance
Building and repairing livestock yards
Cattle and sheep work
General livestock management
Other farm duties as required

🔥 Welding experience is highly preferred for at least one person, as there will be some welding and fabrication work involved.

🏡 Accommodation included

We’re looking for people who are hardworking, practical, reliable and happy to get stuck into a variety of farm work. Previous farm experience is preferred but not essential for the right people.

📍 Location: Between Keith & Bordertown, SA
👥 Positions: 2 backpackers
🏠 Accommodation: Included

💙 A wonderful day supporting an important cause! 💙

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Prostate Cancer Rally! We were delighted to welcome the group for a tour and give them the opportunity to experience what life is like on a working station, with Jess and Pete showing them around.

After the tour, everyone enjoyed a lovely lunch in the bunker — a delicious homegrown roast lamb, kindly organised by Margie and Meridie. 🐑🍽️

Most importantly, the rally helps shine a light on prostate cancer awareness, encouraging conversations around men’s health, early detection and the importance of regular check-ups. Events like this bring people together, raise awareness and help support those affected by prostate cancer, as well as their families and communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to all those involved in making the day such a memorable one. It was a pleasure to share our station, our lunch and a few good laughs with you all! 💙

We had a lovely tour group yesterday who came in with Wrightsair and experienced our ground tour which included lunch in our bunker!

It’s been a busy time at Mt Eba Station, with lamb marking well underway! 🐑
The lambs and ewes are all looking nice and healthy, which is always a great sight to see. 🌿

Lamb marking is an important job that helps us keep track of the flock, look after the lambs’ health and welfare, and give them the best start as they grow.

A big job, but a rewarding one when you see healthy lambs and happy ewes out in the paddock! 💚

🥪 Sometimes it’s all in the presentation! 🙌
We’ve changed up the packaging and presentation of our packed lunches — and the response has been fantastic!

If I’d known all I had to do was change the packaging and presentation to get them excited about eating their lunch, I would have done it ages ago! 😂

Happy team, happy workers, and most importantly… lunch is getting eaten! 💪🐑❤️

🚛 TRUCK DRIVER WANTED – MT EBA STATION, SA

Mt Eba Station is looking for a truck driver from 14 September through Mid November.

The work is very flexible and would suit an ex-farmer or someone looking for 3–4 days of work each week.

• Generally one load per week, with the opportunity to do more if you’d like.
• Flexible schedule.
• Loads will include cattle and sheep.
• Assistance will be provided with loading and unloading.
• Must hold a current MC truck licence.

A big thank you to the Mount Compass Football Club for the warm welcome and for having us on board as a sponsor for 2026.

It’s an extra special year for us with Tom taking on the role of Senior Coach and Pete joining the coaching panel. We’re incredibly proud of Pete’s commitment to travelling from Mt Eba to Mount Compass each week to be part of the club and give back to the Bulldogs community.
