Our guests eat at local pubs and cafés, shop in Yackandandah’s independent stores, visit local producers and explore businesses throughout the wider region.

We also look for ways to build local businesses directly into the Miette experience — from collaborations with Backwoods Distilling Co. to guest offers with local favourites like Gum Tree Pies.

We opened Miette hoping other people would love staying here as much as we loved creating it.

Since then, we’ve been very fortunate to see Miette recognised by Tourism Australia’s Hot List, Good Weekend’s 52 Weekends Away and the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards, as well as becoming an Airbnb Superhost and a finalist in the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards.

But the recognition that means the most still comes directly from our guests.

At Miette, being bike friendly means a little more than having somewhere to lean your bike.

We’re proud to be a Ride High Country Preferred Supplier, and we’ve thought carefully about what makes a cycling getaway easier.

There’s secure bike storage with power outlets, a maintenance station, bike cleaning supplies, trail information, a full laundry for muddy gear and plenty of space to refuel and recover.

And when the riding is done? There’s an outdoor bath and a very comfortable bed waiting.
