Our Solar Energy Results for 2025!

In 2025, our solar panel system generated 156,250 kWh of electricity, supplying approximately 18% of Smith Beach Resort's total electricity consumption.

We welcome the EU's Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (EmpCo) Directive and its focus on transparent, substantiated environmental claims.

As we continue reviewing our environmental initiatives, we’re pleased to share the measurable results behind our investment in solar energy.

A special congratulations to our Resort Manager, Steven Hofmann, and Accounts Manager, Nicola Lickel, who have both reached the milestone of 10 years with Smiths Beach Resort.

Steven has guided the Resort through a decade of growth, achievement and continued success, crediting the dedication and teamwork of his colleagues as one of his proudest achievements.

Nicola's commitment extends beyond her role in accounts, with she and her husband now living at the Resort and serving as our after-hours caretakers. With the pristine Smiths Beach across the road, they have never been happier!

Our management team marked the occasion with a wonderful lunch at our valued winery partner, Vasse Felix enjoying exceptional food and a glass or two of Heytesbury Chardonnay and Idée Fixe Blanc de Blancs.

Congratulations and thank you, Steven and Nicola, for your outstanding contribution to Smiths Beach Resort over the past decade!

School holiday time is here and we’re looking forward to welcoming faces back to Smith’s Beach Resort and introducing new families to their first stay with us.
With spacious self contained accommodation, Smiths Beach just footsteps away, a heated infinity pool, onsite restaurant Lamont’s Smiths Beach and plenty of room to relax it’s time to settle in for some special family time in Yallingup.

We recently had the privilege of enjoying a preview of some of the incredible artists taking part in Margaret River Region Open Studios 2026.
As a proud accommodation partner, Smiths Beach Resort is delighted to support this much-loved regional event, taking place from 12–27 September. Guests staying with us during the event will also find an official Open Studios program in their accommodation, making it easy to plan studio visits and discover artists across the region.
