We recently had the privilege of enjoying a preview of some of the incredible artists taking part in Margaret River Region Open Studios 2026.
As a proud accommodation partner, Smiths Beach Resort is delighted to support this much-loved regional event, taking place from 12–27 September. Guests staying with us during the event will also find an official Open Studios program in their accommodation, making it easy to plan studio visits and discover artists across the region.

Spring has sprung at the Resort and Beach 🌿🌊🌸

A special week at Smiths Beach Resort, as we once again welcomed Margaret River Wine and members of the International Wine & Spirit Competition - IWSC Margaret River judging panel to their beachside home for the week for the fourth consecutive year.
Their stay began with a welcome dinner in one of our luxury Beach Houses, prepared by local Chef Dylan Brice of Saltbush Dining, followed by breakfast Lamont's Smiths Beach each morning before judging took place across the region.
The week concluded with an outstanding result for Margaret River, including 29 Gold medals and a historic 100-point score for House of Cards Margaret River ‘Ace High’ Chardonnay 2025.
It was a privilege to host the panel once again and to support an event that continues to showcase Margaret River wine on the world stage.
