MEET THE TEAM
The faces behind Yarragon Hotel

The same old pub you know and love, just a new chapter in its book!

Still a pub for family, ran by family 🍻🕺

BERNIE (who you may recognise): you’ll find him in the bar, office and everywhere in between.
Centre

TEESH: Bernie’s other half who you will see around the bar and dining room, as well as working behind the scenes.
Front left

KYLIE: Bernie’s mum who you will also find in the bar and the dining room, as well as chipping away at all those little things you notice that change around the place.
Front right

MARK: Kylie’s other half aka handyman, fixing anything that is broken. You’ll find him on your side of the bar and on the mic on members Friday night raffle.
Top right

WAYNE: Teesh’s dad who you will also find on your side of the bar and also fixing and working on things behind the scenes.

Trying to put almost 15 years of hard work and gratitude into one post is pretty tricky.

As many of you know Chris and I have sold the pub. This is our last weekend as the owners of Yarragon Hotel before we pass the baton to Bernie, Teesh and Family.

Bernie, Teesh, Kylie, Mark and Wayne, we hope you get as much joy and satisfaction from your time as we both have ❤️

Thank you to our families who supported our crazy idea with no hesitation. To our children who cannot really remember life without 'owning a pub' we absolutely love you three. Being 1,4 and 7 when we came in, you've done the hard yards with us. Thank you.

And thank you to our amazing staff, existing and past AND our awesome customers. You have absolutely been a pleasure to serve (well most of you 🤣).

Looking forward to seeing you in the other side of the bar.

Renée & Chris
🍻

👩‍🍳
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen team as we continue to strengthen and refine our food offering.

Our venue is a well-established regional hotel with a strong local following and a reputation for delivering consistently high-quality food and service. We pride ourselves on a respectful working environment and have a very solid, skilled kitchen team already in place ready for strong leadership.

We offer:

* A four-day work week with flexibility for the right candidate
* A supportive, skilled kitchen team
* Competitive salary package (negotiable based on experience)
* Opportunity to shape the food offering and lead a well-respected regional kitchen

If you are a motivated Head Chef who values structure, consistency, and pride in your work — and who is ready to lead a kitchen with confidence and accountability — we would love to hear from you.
