A WEEKEND STAY .... For our last guests.

SEP26-Ereka: Had a weekend away with her child. Leaving us a private message through Airbnb - "Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Yeppoon. Your apartment is well maintained and was a nice spot to come back to and have some quiet time."

So nice to know that our guests enjoy our space as much as we do.

The unit has been cleaned and reset. We don't have a guest booked until two weeks time, but who knows - its been very popular this year!

A FIVE NIGHT STAY .... For our last guest.

SEP26-Henk: Staying Yeppoon, working in Rockhampton for the week. Left a love Airbnb message for us - "Good little spot in the great location. Thanks for the thoughtful response to the issues that we had on the first night and thanks that I could use your place."

Im afraid I really dropped the ball on this booking, and neglected to give this guest the outdoor lockbox location and code - even though he had told me he was arriving very late. As a result this poor guest had to book overnight accommodation elsewhere and couldn't enter the unit until the next day. Of course I reimbursed him for the extra accommodation, and we gave him $100 for the discomfort of what we put him through too.

What a champion guest to give us a 5 star rating and a lovely message - after what we put him through!

The unit has been cleaned and reset, as we had a guest coming in the very same day!

A WEEKEND STAY .... For our last local guests.

August 26-Kristy: Didn't leave us a message or review, but we assume she and her partner enjoyed there time in Yeppoon.

And of course our wonderful cleaning crew have turned the room around for our next guest coming in the same day for a work stay.

AN 8 NIGHT STAY .... For our last guest.

August 26-Wade: Who came to the area to do some consulting work.

We hope Wade enjoyed his time in the Yeppoon area, and we thank him for leaving the unit in a good state for our cleaning crew to reset it for the next guest.

We don't have anyone booked in now until September, but will be taking a couple through on the weekend who wish to book it for three months next winter - they travel to the area every year at this time from Melbourne.

A TWO NIGHT STAY .... For our last guest.

August 26-Nidhi: Who came to the area to attend a wedding.

This poor guest checked in, but didn't try to use the power in the unit until 10pm, and found that along one wall the power was not working, and therefore the WIFI was out too! I didn't see her message to me as I was asleep then, until the next morning. A call to the Building Manager had it fixed quickly as it was only a tripped switch - likely from something the person in the unit next door was using that shares the power along that wall.

I offered the guests a late check out to help - which they took advantage of. They were so lovely to deal with too, considering their inconvenience.

Nidhi left us a lovely Airbnb review: "Kelli and Mo's place is in such an incredibly position, beautiful little studio apartment. It has everything you need in the apartment, a stunning view and absolutely everything is walkable! Kelli was incredibly responsive with some teething issues we had with the Internet and we had it all sorted quick smart. Couldn't recommend this place more! Thank you again."

So wonderful having guests like this 99.9% of the time. And of course our wonderful cleaning crew have the unit cleaned and reset for our next guests. We don't have a booking now until September, but that can change quickly!

A FIVE NIGHT STAY .... For our guest, that will never be allowed to stay again!

August 26-Kimmy: We have only ever had one guest that caused an issue whilst staying with us - which Airbnb sorted out for us. Then there is this lady - wow, it took our 2 cleaners 6 hours to clean up after her stay:
- 5 x large bags of rubbish
- Nearly every dish/glass/cup was used, and left with food on it, all around the room and not washed
- Airfryer used and not cleaned
- Food left in the fridge
- Blood on sheets/doona/towels, which had to be thrown out
- Lost 2 swipe entry cards
- Destroyed the toaster
- Had to pay our staff to let her into the unit twice, due to missing cards
- Multiple attempts to extend the stay with Airbnb, with no funds to cover it
- Harassed us for the entire stay with questions about the unit, then for days after - trying to extend her stay or get us to book her other accomodation in Rockhampton

The extra cleaning and replacement of items cost came for $712.00, which she is refusing to pay - so now we have to wait and see if Airbnb insurance will cover it!

Fortunately our cleaning crew got it all put back in order within two days, and we had the next guest come in the day after they finished!

A TEN DAY STAY .... For our repeat guest.

July/August 26-Ehsan: Has stayed with us three times for long stays, when he is here visiting for work.

This time was a shorter stay than usual, but we certainly enjoy hosting him - always looks after the unit, keeping it clean and tidy.

We look forward to the next time he can stay with us.

The unit was cleaned and reset for our next guest who will be staying in a couple of weekends time, thanks to the fantastic Tracey and her cleaning crew.

A THREE NIGHT STAY .... For our last guest.

July 26-JD: Came to Yeppoon to attend a wedding, and upon entering the beach unit sent me a message "What a lovely unit, thank you very kindly." Then left us a lovely Airbnb review too: "Awesome stay, super close to everything. Great communication. Will be staying again!" So glad you enjoyed your stay with us.

The unit was reset by our wonderful cleaning crew lead by Tracey. And we have let our return long stay guest re-enter the unit already.

A FIVE WEEK STAY .... For our returning guest.

June/July 26-Ehsan: Here for work, booked and was fell ill, couldn't come until one week before the end of his stay, so we gave him a week more for free, as we had a booking after that that we could not change. Ehsan was most grateful, and on exit has booked to return for another 10 days soon.

The unit was reset for our next guest coming in same day, thanks to the fantastic cleaning crew lead by Tracey.
