Our guests at Starry Skies Caravan Park in York were treated to a pretty spectacular sight this morning as hot air balloons took off right from behind the cpark, floating gracefully over the stunning Avon Valley! 🎈🌄

Forget breakfast in bed… how about balloons taking off practically from your backyard?! 🤣

Some people pay big money for a room with a view… our guests just had to unzip their tents or open their caravan doors! 🏕️😂

What a magical way to wake up and another reminder of just how beautiful our little piece of paradise really is! ❤️

Our deliciously creamy soft serve ice cream was such a HUGE hit at the York Races on Thursday, we've added it to our menu! 🎉
🥶 The Brain Freeze – $4.95 Choose your favourite syrup!
🍨 Sundae Shenanigans – $7.50 Pick your topping of either skittles, mini oreos or Biscoff Crumb AND syrup!
🤤 So creamy, so delicious, you'll be licking the bowl!

We’re always looking for ways to make Starry Skies Caravan Park bigger, better and even more enjoyable for our amazing returning guests and all the new faces yet to discover us. 🏕️✨

Who knows what idea we’ll come home with next… 👀

Nestled in the heart of our beautiful countryside, we’re a 100% Australian-owned, family-run park that will be passed down through the generations like a treasured recipe for pavlova.
We are a multi-generational family with all hands are on deck here—whether it’s the son in law fixing the barbie or sister Sharon putting up plasterboard. Not forgetting the grandkids who walk around and either pull up weeds, or pick up rubbish that people have forgotten to put into a bin.

Not too long ago, some big city folks rolled up with their fancy suits and even fancier cars, eager to buy us out. But we’re not going anywhere, mates! No amount of money can sway us from our mission of providing a cozy, welcoming escape from the hustle and bustle. Our roots run deep, and we’re here to stay, living the Australian dream!

Hello, wonderful guests and future visitors of our beloved caravan park!
We're thrilled to share some exciting updates with you—our park has just undergone a much-needed facelift, and we're over the moon about it.

Out with the Old, in with the New!
We've installed brand-new tanks and leach drains, which means no more unpleasant smells—yay!
However, getting the approvals took a little longer than expected. When the work was finally done, someone left us a review saying the area was sandy and not grassy, just four days after the job was completed! Grass takes a bit longer to grow, folks!

What We've Been Up To
Let’s set the record straight: we’ve been busy bees since taking over in 2025! Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ve accomplished:

New Hot Water Systems: Enjoy a warm shower anytime—no icy surprises here!

Greywater Pipes: Updated the old ones. Keeping it green and clean!

Camp Kitchen Renovation: All new appliances for your cooking pleasure. Although, our pots, pans and cutlery seem to have grown legs and disappear even after we put in new stuff again. We just can't keep up :(

Toilet Brushes: Trust us, these are hard to keep stocked. Who knew they were so popular? Obviously guests need them more in their vans than what we need them in our toilets.

Bore Pump and Pressure Tank: Working hard to make our park lush and green. However after getting the water tested it is very high is salt. So not much will grow with it. Unless someone knows how to take out the salt content we are stuck for now in what we can water with it.

The Challenges We Face
Running a caravan park comes with its quirks. We’ve had guests who overindulge on water, thinking it’s an endless supply, and others who mistake our supplies for complimentary souvenirs. It’s a wild ride, but hey, we love it! Someone told me that they had a 45 minute shower because they wanted to wash their hair. Um WOW!!!

Despite the challenges, welcoming you to our park and the charming town of York is a joy. Most of our guests are amazing, and we’re grateful for each and every one of you. So next time, if something’s not quite right, have a chat with us. We’re here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! 😊
