Pangolin Photo Host Moses Lebitla shares some of his best sightings from The Chobe in February 2026.

Green as far as the eye can see. New life around every corner. And sunsets that stop you in your tracks.

This is The Chobe at its most vibrant...beautifully captured through the lens of Moses.

Dinner tastes better under African skies!

As the sun sets over Kasane and the stars begin to appear, guests gather on our deck for an evening of great food, great company, and unforgettable safari stories.

Most meals at Pangolin Chobe Hotel are served on the deck, which leads down to our sunken fire pit, surrounded by our pool. It’s a space designed for slowing down, reflecting on the day’s adventures, and sharing a drink around the fire with fellow travellers.

The fire pit is large enough to host a full house of guests and has become a firm favourite before and after dinner.

Good food. Warm fires. African stars overhead.

This is safari life at Pangolin Chobe Hotel.

NEW VIDEO: Botswana’s best-kept safari secret is about to be revealed. Watch the full film now on YouTube - https://bit.ly/Botswana-Secret-Season

A quieter season. A transformed landscape. The wild remains.

While many travellers focus on the peak safari months, there is another side to Botswana that few get to experience. A season of dramatic skies, lush landscapes, fewer vehicles, and longer, more intimate wildlife encounters.

Captured beautifully by Ring Road Travel, and filmed and edited by Michael Alfuso at
Outpost Digital Cinema, The Secret Season explores a different kind of abundance. One where the wilderness feels even more personal, and every sighting tells a deeper story.

At the heart of Pangolin Chobe Hotel lies something truly special...

The centrepiece of the hotel is our wildlife photography gallery. The space from which all fourteen rooms lead, and where inspiration lives around every corner.

Featuring a carefully curated collection of images from our resident photographic guides and many of the world-class wildlife photographers who regularly visit The Chobe with their guests, the gallery is designed to do more than simply showcase beautiful photographs.

Each image has been selected to highlight different photographic styles, techniques, perspectives, and creative approaches, encouraging both budding and seasoned photographers to see the wild a little differently.

Meet the unofficial guardian of sundowners at The Pangolin Chobe Hotel!

Stretching the full length of the lounge, The Pangolin Bar is more than just a spectacular spot for a cocktail. With arguably one of the best views over the Chobe River and the Caprivi Floodplains, it’s where guests gather to swap safari stories as the sky turns gold.

And right in the middle? A formidable bronze pangolin statue, quietly keeping a watchful eye over it all.

Great views, great company, and a giant pangolin watching over your evening. What more could you ask for?

Wonderful Safari Product!

"Another great visit! Staying at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel in Kasane is a great way for my groups to start their safaris. We stay at Pangolin for three nights, Pangolin lends cameras and lenses to my guests and the photo hosts help with settings. After lunch we have a session in the editing room, further teaching inspiring photographers how to improve their photography skills. It is brilliant." HW Photo & Safaris, Tripadvisor, April 2026

Wildlife photography has the power to change perspectives!

Pangolin Photo Safaris was honoured to partner with Wild Shots Outreach (WSO) at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel in Kasane. Helping inspire and empower young Africans through the transformative power of wildlife photography.

Through hands-on workshops with students and unemployed youth living near national parks, the programme focused on building confidence, unlocking creativity, and deepening connections with the natural world. Importantly, Pangolin’s own photo guides are now also equipped to help continue this important work within the Kasane community long into the future.

“Photographing wildlife made me more aware of the life in the wild and how I can use photos to teach my community about the importance of wildlife conservation and the beauty they portray in nature.” — Otositwe Juta

At Pangolin, photography has always been about more than taking pictures. It’s about storytelling, conservation, education, and inspiring the next generation to protect Africa’s incredible wildlife heritage.
