Lebalaβs lion story continues to unfold across the floodplains of the Kwando Private Concession.
From the legendary days of Old Gun and Sebastian, to the rise of the Golden Boys, and now the growing presence of the Face to Face coalition, every generation leaves its mark on this wild corner of Botswana. The bloodlines of Striker, Cracked Mouth, and Scar Face still echo through the concession, shaping one of the most remarkable lion territories in Africa.
This is what 24 hours at Lebala Camp looked like just last week! 25 lions across 4 different sightings π¦
Four young males stood watch in the east, overlooking the shimmering floodplains. Nearby, eight mud-covered lions dragged down an impala in the dark clay soils surrounding the marshes. Along Sable Road, two magnificent males patrolled with quiet confidence, their golden coats untouched by the chaos of any hunt... yet!
Then came perhaps the sweetest sighting of all: four lionesses and six cubs resting beneath a shepherdβs tree, feeding on a massive eland kill. An extraordinary prize! It is very special to see herds of these giant antelopes moving through the leadwood forests of Kwando.
