Hwange is in the midst of its most striking transitions.

And if there’s anything we know about the wild, is that it can happen at any moment. Cruising through the landscapes during a midmorning game drive, we stumbled across a lazy lion snoozing after a night on the hunt.

Lions can be vocal and keen to announce their presence. It seems this male just needed a little time to himself.
