The Delta is shaped by water – but not by water alone.
Across the floodplains, strange earthen towers push through the landscape, their twisting forms built by tiny architects, then weathered by water and time.
Season after season, they rise above the flood, gathering roots, trees and life around them. What begins as a mound can become the foundation of an island.
A reminder that, in the Delta, even the smallest lives can shape the landscape.
