🌊⚓️ DÍA DE SAN PEDRO IS HERE! ⚓️🌊

From June 20th through June 29th the island of San Pedro comes alive as we celebrate "Día de San Pedro", honoring "Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen", and paying tribute to the generations of island families who built this community from the sea. 🐟🇧🇿

The celebration builds throughout the week with a variety of events and activities, including:

🎉 Community festivities and cultural events
🏖 Beach games and family activities
🎶 Live music and evening entertainment
⛪ Daily religious observances at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church
🚤 The traditional boat procession and blessing of fishermen and vessels
🙏 Holy Mass and the honoring of Saint Peter, the namesake of our island town

The celebrations culminate on June 29th, the Feast Day of Saint Peter, with the beloved maritime procession, blessing of boats, and religious ceremonies that remind us of San Pedro's proud fishing heritage and strong community spirit. 🌊⚓️❤️

Whether you're a lifelong San Pedrano or visiting paradise for the first time, Día de San Pedro is a beautiful opportunity to experience the culture, history, and traditions that make our island so special. 🌴✨

June 1 officially marks the beginning of Hurricane Season in Belize and across the Caribbean 🌊🌀 — but don’t let the name fool you!

Early hurricane season in Belize usually means:
🌴 Warm tropical days
