Every year, it happens… Valentine’s gets fully booked and then we have several people asking to be added to our cancellation list. 😅

So this year, why not be the one who booked early instead of the one hoping for a cancellation? 😉

✨ THE VIEW IS TOO BEAUTIFUL NOT TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR! ✨

Ever since we upgraded the skylights in our Oasis and Hideaway domes to glass last year, we’ve noticed some stubborn white streaks appearing on the panoramic windows below them. Our Haven only got its glass skylight this spring and hasn’t developed the same issue yet, which makes us think it may have something to do with the metal frame over time.

We’re working on figuring out exactly what’s causing it and how to prevent it, because these views deserve sparkling clean windows! 😍

And let me tell you… washing these HUGE panoramic windows is no little job! 😂 Last night, in between bookings, we tackled the Oasis, and this morning it was the Hideaway’s turn.

But look at that difference!! 👀✨ All three domes are now sparkling clean and ready for our next guests to enjoy the view. ❤️

😂 My husband definitely did NOT approve of my window-cleaning technique… but someone had to get that view sparkling! 🤣✨

For our fellow dome owners — has anyone with glass skylights and metal frames experienced similar white streaking on their panoramic windows? We’d love to know what you found was causing it or what worked to prevent it!

This sweet little birthday girl is celebrating FIVE with us at Bear Island Kingdome, and we couldn’t let such a special birthday go by without adding a little magic to her stay! 🏕️🎈

We are officially down to our LAST dome available for New Year’s Eve! 😱

The Oasis Dome is the only one left… so who’s going to be the lucky one to grab it? 👀❤️

Imagine ending 2026 tucked away in your own cozy dome, relaxing in your private hot tub and waking up to the first morning of 2027 by the river. 🥰

And while we’re talking about holidays… don’t wait until the last minute to book your Valentine’s getaway either! ❤️🌹

😳 NOT EVERY CHECKOUT IS CREATED EQUAL…

99% of our guests are absolutely AMAZING… and then every once in a while, we have a checkout that leaves us wondering what on earth happened. 😳

Yesterday was one of those days.

We were already short-staffed and had all 3 domes checking out, with new guests arriving at 4pm. Our team was working as fast as we could to get everything spotless and ready… and then we walked into one of our domes. 😬

These pictures? This was just TWO of the things we found. 😳

I’ll let you use your imagination for the rest of the dome… 😬

We absolutely expect to clean after our guests — that’s part of what we do! We don’t expect anyone to leave a dome looking untouched. But there’s a BIG difference between normal use and leaving a space in a condition that creates hours of unnecessary extra work for our team.

Thankfully, days like yesterday are extremely rare. ❤️ The overwhelming majority of our guests treat our domes and our little piece of paradise with so much respect, and I don’t think you realize how much we appreciate that.

So to the 99% of you who tidy up after yourselves, respect our property and leave knowing another family will be checking in just a few hours later… THANK YOU. 🥰

And a HUGE shoutout to our cleaning team who somehow pulled off yesterday and had all 3 domes cleaned, reset and ready to welcome our next guests by 4pm. You guys are freaking rockstars! ❤️🙌

We have a busy cleaning day tomorrow and could use some extra help! This is a great opportunity to come work alongside our team for the day, see what goes into getting our domes ready for our guests, and find out if this might be something you’d like to do more of. 🧹✨

THANK YOU!! 🥰 Our domes are officially completely booked for the rest of August! We seriously can’t thank you all enough for keeping us so busy! ❤️

But summer isn’t over yet! ☀️ We still have a few openings left in our seasonal glamping tents!

This is our Lantern Tent 👇 We moved it closer to the water this year, so it now has a little water view and is just a very short walk from all the fun on the river. 🛶💦

This one is definitely a guest favourite! It sits right at the water’s edge, so you can wake up with the river literally just steps from your bed. 😍

💰 Tent rates:
$150 + HST for 1 night
$125 + HST per night for 2 nights
$100 + HST per night for 3+ nights

One-night stays are available Sunday–Thursday, with a two-night minimum on weekends.

And at a more affordable price than our domes, they’re a great way to squeeze in one more little summer getaway! ❤️
