There's a kind of exhaustion that sleep alone doesn't touch.

The kind that comes from constantly tending, carrying, translating, caregiving, producing, or holding everything together for everyone else.

This November, we're honoured to welcome back Mimi Young of Ceremonie for Many Hands: A Craft Camp for Making & Being Made, Together — five days of creativity, ritual, play, and restoration through craft at Nectar Yoga Retreat on Bowen Island.

Guests will move through hand embroidery, collage, relief printing, bookbinding, paper crafts, tea ceremonies, fireside storytelling, morning movement with Andrea Clark, and a restorative thermal experience at Mist Thermal Sanctuary.

The first three weeks of September sit under Virgo, grounded, detail-oriented, always looking for the small ways to refine and improve. Then on September 22nd, the fall equinox carries us into Libra season, where the focus shifts to balance, harmony, and finding equilibrium as the days and nights align.

Yoga on the Pier Update🧘

A little schedule update for our Yoga on the Pier community!

There will be no Yoga on the Pier this Saturday, August 29th due to the Rotary Run taking place.

We’ll be back on the pier as usual on Sunday, August 30th, and classes will continue on Saturdays and Sundays throughout September and October, weather permitting.

We look forward to practicing together by the water.

Touching the Bruise is a one-day grief retreat at Nectar on Bowen Island, co-facilitated by Andrea Clark and ._Hunter, Threshold Doula and ritual guide. A held, ceremonial space to tend to grief through somatic practices, sacred ritual, shared reflection, and time in nature.

As we move from Leo's fire element into Virgo's earth element this month, part of that shift is asking us to release what no longer needs to be held. Join Andrea Clark for an evening of somatic shaking, EFT tapping, and restorative yoga, a practice designed to help release what's been stored in the body and mind, physically and energetically.
