The last group of the season lifted off this afternoon.

They left with some of the largest coho we saw all year, and with more halibut than most weeks allow, after the daily limit moved to two.

They enjoyed a beautiful evening dinner in the gazebo, with the inlet going quiet, and the sky doing what it does here in early September.

That closes 2026 on the water.

Twelve guests, one helicopter, twenty minutes of breathtaking scenery, before approaching Wales Island, situated along the Alaska border on the northwest coast of British Columbia.

Fishing licenses are provided and ready alongside your rain gear in your size. Grab a beverage and something to eat, and head down to the boats.

The difference is in what you never have to ask for.

The luggage is handled the moment you land, and your guide meets you at the boat to get you aboard and out on the water. The fire is lit when the air turns cool. Dinner is plated elegantly, and your catch is filleted, packed, and ready to travel home with you.

None of it is announced, and none of it needs to be asked for. The whole experience is private, shaped entirely around your group.

Hidden Inlet on a quiet sightseeing morning.
The waterfall is reason enough to stop here. This time a seal surfaced nearby as well, rolling and diving and clearly pleased to have an audience.
Not a bad way to spend the last morning before heading home.
