Norwood on the Washademoak Bed & Breakfast

Norwood on the Washademoak Bed & Breakfast Norwood on the Washademoak is a seasonal B & B, Mid-May to late October. Other requests possible. We have renovated the main part of the house as a B & B.

This house was built as a "country residence" by H.H.Mott, an architect from Saint John, NB in 1905. It overlooks the beautiful Washademoak Lake. Two rooms are available. "The Majestic" has ensuite with clawfoot tub and shower. It has access to a balcony. The "Furstenau" has a smaller ensuite with just a shower. It also has access to the balcony. Our B & B a lot of space. Our guests can have as mu

ch privacy as they wish. This large home has two sections. We live in the section which is separate from the B & B;however, always there to answer any questions or to help with travel ideas. One can walk the paths which we have created to the pond, through the field, down to the public wharf which has a beach area. Relax on the upper balcony or the lower verandah. Say hello to Dill and Dot, our resident sheep. Wander over to Motts Landing Winery to sample locally made wine. Come and relax!

Happy New Year πŸ₯³!

πŸ”” Ring "Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws.
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes,
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace."
