The low season is here, 🪾from mid October to about April or May. Business is slower now and it's a 👌great time to visit.

🧳I've created an all inclusive package, which includes a Murder Mystery, yoga, guided paint session, meals, and sauna sessions, for weekends in November.

Definitely a wild wave watching day along the coast on Route 80 of the Baccalieu Coastal Drive!!!
The power of the ocean, Trinity Bay. The wild North Atlantic and the Wind is fierce today. Sadly, you can't hear the waves over the wind in the video.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today is a time to honour Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and reflect on the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous families and communities.

In recognition of this important day, this year’s artwork was created in collaboration with Kanani Rich, an Innu artist and high school student from Sheshatshiu.

Kanani’s artwork depicts the Innu and Inuit peoples of Labrador in traditional clothing, celebrating the distinct cultures, traditions, and heritage of both communities. Through her artwork, Kanani honours Indigenous identity while encouraging reflection, understanding, and reconciliation.

As we take time to reflect, we encourage everyone to consider:

What does your commitment to truth and reconciliation look like?

What does progress toward reconciliation in Canada look like today?

At IDLP, together with our valued partners, we recognize that truth and reconciliation is a commitment we carry with us each and every day through our work, relationships, and actions.

Today, and every day, we remember, reflect, and continue to learn.
