Meet our other full time keeper, Jasmine. Originally from Ottawa and having studied in Montreal, Jasmine originally came to PEI for what was only supposed to be a couple of months. Somehow, that turned into three years. She quickly fell in love with the Island and often says it feels like living inside a perfect storybook. Before joining Elmwood, she managed a boutique inn in Victoria by the Sea (a must visit seaside town 30 min from Elmwood), where she developed a love for thoughtful hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Always smiling and incredibly laid back, Jasmine has a naturally warm presence that instantly puts people at ease.

Outside of the inn, she loves discovering new places, chasing little adventures, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. A lifelong athlete and former U Sports national champion hockey player, she also trained through the Ottawa Orchestra Academy playing both violin and viola. More often than not, you’ll find her with her dog Wh***ey, or happily stopping to make friends with just about any animal she comes across (including Clementine, our part time resident dogkeeper).

Time to meet the first Elmwood keeper! Julie has been part of Elmwood long before the doors officially opened. Like family, she’s poured her heart into the early days here, helping shape the feel of the Inn with care, creativity, and a WHOLE lot of elbow grease.

Originally from Fort Erie, Ontario, Julie made the move to Prince Edward Island in 2017 and quickly found her rhythm in Island life. Now in her semi-retirement years, she brings a lifetime of creativity with her, along with an instinct to make things feel thoughtful, welcoming, and just a little bit magical.

She’s happiest outdoors or in the middle of a project, gathering inspiration from beaches, back roads, gardens, and the changing seasons. Julie has a way of turning just about anything into something special, from hand painted cards and cozy slippers to whimsical scarecrows and repurposed coastal pieces.

Her creative spirit has left its mark across Charlottetown, from the Scarecrow Festival to local markets and community events. At Elmwood, you’ll often find her tending to details behind the scenes, adding beauty where others might miss it, or making guests feel quietly at home. And lucky for you, if you’re staying with us this season you will get to meet her ❤️
