👻 THROWBACK THURSDAY 👻

With our 10th Annual Spooktacular being less than a month away, we’re taking a trip down memory lane! 🦇

For 10 years, the cabins at Camp Wegesegum have been transformed into spooky little worlds, the trails have filled with trick-or-treaters, and the camp has come alive with Halloween fun. From the decorations to the costumes to the coming from the woods to the spooky surprises around every corner… there’s always something to remember. 👀

And this year, we’re getting ready to do it all again!

They say that once a year, when the leaves have fallen and the air grows crisp, something strange stirs at Camp Wegesegum…👻🎃🕷️

The cabins creak as shadows dance across the windows. Pumpkins glow along the paths, lighting the way through the dark woods. Laughter echoes through the trees, followed by tiny footsteps racing from cabin to cabin. And if you listen closely, you’ll hear it—the rustle of candy bags, the squeals of surprise, and the unmistakable magic of Halloween in the air.

On Saturday, October 24th, the legend returns….

We are so excited to have our friends at Canoe Kayak New Brunswick host this amazing event at Camp Wegesegum!! If you love being on the water, learning new skills, and spending time outdoors, you’ll want to check this out! 🛶🏕️

Join some of New Brunswick’s best outdoor educators for a weekend filled with lots of exciting workshops! And if the Salmon River has ever felt like your happy place… this is right up your alley. 👀❤️

Canoe Kayak New Brunswick will be hosting the 2026 Paddling Symposium from September 11th - 13th!!! 🛶🏕️

Some of New Brunswick’s most experienced outdoor educators will be delivering exciting workshops with plenty of things to learn, try, and explore! 🤩

If you’ve spent your summer at camp learning to paddle, exploring the Salmon river, or just falling in love with being outdoors, we have a feeling this will be right up your alley. 😉❤️

Summer 2026. ❤️

While camp officially wrapped up with the end of Day Camp, we’ve had a couple of pretty special events since then, making it a little easier to hold onto summer just a little longer. ☀️

This summer, we had 9 unique camps, 15 paid staff, welcomed over 530 campers through our doors, and served over 4,200 meals!!! 🤩

43% of our Day Campers were former or present Little Rangers, 32% of our campers came back for two or more camps, and 12% joined us for three or more!! ❤️ We also had two campers join us for FIVE camps! These stats only tell a small part of our summer story — if the trees could talk, the stories they would tell are unparalleled. 🥰

Thank you to our campers, volunteers, staff, guests, and supporters for another amazing and wonderful summer. We are so grateful and you help make Camp Wegie such a special place to be!
