July 28, 1969! Matt Kluber found the entry of when he came up to camp as a kid. A relation to Orville and Fran Sterling (the couple that started Lac Seul Evergreen Lodge in 1953) - he has continued the tradition by bringing his kids up too. Congratulations to our bear hunters this Fall! We ended up 9/10 harvested and after several hours of tracking we were unable to recover the 10th. The guys saw a lot of bears during the hunt. And there was a lot of action on the cameras this year including many sows/cubs. They 🐻 should sleep good this winter with this year’s great blueberry crop, 🫐

Our hearts are with Pat’s family and her many friends and camp friends. We’re grateful to her for leaving a great camp legacy - she will always be a big part of Evergreen and will be greatly missed by so many people that come to visit. Sending peace to her loved ones.
