• Expanded Smart Energy Management & Automation
We recently completed upgrades to our home automation systems at the Aerie, allowing lighting and heating systems to be remotely monitored, scheduled, and adjusted. This supports reduced energy consumption during turnovers and vacancy periods while improving responsiveness and operational oversight.

We also have upgraded the built-in sound system so guests can connect easily from their devices to listen to their favourite tunes.

Additional modernization of outdated automation and control systems is currently underway at Studio ISO and the Pointhouse main residence as part of a phased estate-wide efficiency upgrade.

ATTEND THE MATCH. RETURN TO THE OCEAN.
The world's biggest sporting event has arrived in Vancouver.
What many visitors don't realize is that you don't have to stay in the city to be part of the excitement.
Spend the day immersed in the energy of the tournament, then return to ocean sunsets, forest trails, waterfront decks, and the slower pace of the Sunshine Coast.
We still have limited June availability at Studio ISO, Aerie, the Annex, and selected dates at the Pointhouse.
Whether you're travelling for the matches or simply looking for a summer escape, there has never been a better time to discover just how close the Sunshine Coast really is.

Almost there. Zen Teahouse and electrical shed getting a makeover too. Back to the raw wood. Having real red cedar helps to ground the all the Pointhouse buildings in their west coast settings but it requires a lot of ongoing maintenance. Not sure if I would consider wood again with the slate of durable and beautiful alternatives available today. What would you choose?

World Ocean Day 🌊
Every day at the Pointhouse begins and ends with the ocean. The tides shape our shoreline, seabirds patrol the bay, seals drift past on the currents, and salmon return to nearby streams after remarkable journeys.
Living on the edge of the Salish Sea is both a privilege and a reminder that healthy oceans cannot be taken for granted. Rising temperatures, changing ecosystems, marine debris, and habitat loss are challenges that affect all of us, whether we live on the coast or far inland.
Today is a chance to appreciate the waters that connect us and to consider the small choices that help protect them—from reducing waste and conserving energy to supporting local stewardship efforts in places like Sargeant Bay.
The ocean gives us so much. World Ocean Day is a reminder to give something back.

Having your cake and eating it too.

This couple were camping for a week on the upper Sunshine Coast before exchanging their tent for the Aerie in order to elope on the Pointhouse Estate. With floor to ceiling windows it still feels like you're waking up in the forest- just not on a thermarest. Everything else was very natural and low key- all the way down to the wedding Birkenstocks.

Easy peasy day trip from Vancouver but the longer you stay the more you'll fall in love with the Sunshine Coast.

Attaching a boutonniere to a suit lapel is one of the most difficult details of an elopement. You need just the right angle, pressure and persistence not to poke yourself or the groom. Who can relate?
