The Pines Cottage Resort is a seasonal family resort. We provide 10 housekeeping cottage on Oxtongue Lake just outside Alqonquin Park.

Tucked away on the quiet waters of Oxtongue Lake in North Muskoka, is the ideal place for your family to enjoy the Canadian summer vacation tradition…a week at the cottage. 🧁 A little recommendation for our Week 8 guests! ☕
If you're staying with us at The Pines Cottage Resort on Sunday, August 23, I wanted to let you know about a fun local event that my three kids (the Laurence kids!) have been working hard to put together.

The Old Post House Café is back for another Pop-Up Bake Sale, this time partnering with Rise & Roam ( and Roam Coffee)Coffee Trailer beside Algonquin Outfitters in Oxtongue Lake.

🗓️ Sunday, August 23 🕘 Starting at 9:00 AM (until they sell out!)

The kids will have all of their favourite homemade baking, along with a few new treats they've been excited to try. They're also bringing back their Pop-Up Card Shop, featuring their own Algonquin-inspired artwork. Cards are available for a pay-what-you-wish donation, with proceeds helping to fund their next adventure.

☕ Grab a coffee from Rise & Roam, enjoy some homemade baking, and help encourage a few young entrepreneurs while you're here on vacation.

Introducing this year's kid's craft...painted/ stamped totes or pencil cases! So much creativity from these kids and so happy that they continue to join every year even those who think they are getting to cool for it 😎

Not only do we do movie night for the kids in the summer time but we will accommodate the FIFA World Cup game for our guests. Go Canada go!

I mean how can you be mad about all the fingerprints on the windows when you have such a cute face?! These twins are an absolute blessing and so look forward to their annual visit! The Pines is a great and safe spot to bring the kids.

Before we go, I just want to take a moment to thank this amazing crew for all their hard work in keeping The Pines running smoothly this season. We are so fortunate to have such a fabulous team who continues to show up year after year — I’m not sure what we did to get so lucky!

We are missing Jeannie and Kevin, two of our incredible on-site managers, and we’re sending them our love and gratitude as well.
