You know you’ve found the right cottage when nobody wants to leave.

The kind with coffee on the porch overlooking the lake. Red Muskoka chairs that somehow become everyone’s favourite seat. Long afternoons spent together, followed by evenings around the BBQ and quiet moments tucked away in the Muskoka room.

Inside, the Algonquin cottages are warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with cosy cottage-core touches, inviting bedrooms, and space for everyone to settle in and feel at home.

Some guests come for the lake views. Some come for the comfort. Most come back because it’s one of the few places where everyone in the family finds their favourite thing.

Beach chairs, the lake steps away, a cottage tucked into the trees, and an afternoon with absolutely no plans.

June might be our favourite month.

The lake is waking up. The mornings are quiet. The beach is waiting. And summer feels like it’s finally around the corner.

If you didn’t know this was Muskoka, you might guess it was somewhere along the East Coast shoreline.

Soft lake breeze, sun on the grass, quiet water, and one of our most coveted traditional lakefront cottages sitting just steps from it all.

Cottage 16 is the kind of place where days slow down naturally. Morning swims, barefoot walks back from the dock, late afternoon sunshine through the windows, and evenings that seem to last forever.

Honestly, these cottages are what Blue Water Acres has always been about.
