☀️ As we turn the corner towards fall, the days are starting to become shorter and the leaves on trees are starting to change colour.🍂

Join us on September 12 and September 13 for some special programs to celebrate this change!

🔥 🦇 September 12 at 6:30 PM: As the nights get darker, join us around a fire outside the Visitor Centre to celebrate the forest that comes alive in the nighttime, from owls to bats and many more!

🍂 🎨 September 13 at 10:00 AM: Revel in the changing colours of the boreal forest with a morning hike around the Lonesome Bog Trail. Paint the changes of the Bog with us on the viewing platform on this walk! See you all at the Lonesome Bog parking lot! All supplies provided!

Don't miss your chance to enjoy autumn at the park before we close for the season on September 27!

Today is !

Esker Lakes is home to more than a thousand species! To continue protecting the species that call our park home, we can:

⛺ Make sure we leave no trace when camping both in the campground and backcountry!

🪵 Use designated firewood for our campfires. Using deadfall or cutting branches from the forest takes away habitat many of our critters!

🫎 Upload your pictures of plants and animals found at the park on iNaturalist. Uploading to iNaturalist helps park staff keep track of species and continue improving habitat!

Tell us about what animals/plants you enjoyed seeing during your visit to Esker Lakes!

🐣But you can still catch a glimpse before they leave! Let us know what bird you saw at Esker Lakes is your favourite!
