Featured in Condé Nast Traveler.

We’re honoured to be included in the magazine’s guide to where to stay near Banff National Park, alongside a dedicated review of the Post Hotel & Spa.

From days spent exploring Lake Louise to evenings in The Dining Room, visits to the wine cellar and time to unwind at Temple Mountain Spa, the features capture so many of the details that shape a stay in the Canadian Rockies.

Thank you to Condé Nast Traveler and writer Tamara Elliott for sharing the Post experience with their readers.

Set along the banks of the Pipestone River, the cabins offer a more private way to experience Lake Louise.

Watson, Pipestone, Temple, Whitehorn and Fairview each have their own character, with warm interiors, generous space and a setting shaped by the river just beyond the door. Outside, chairs reserved exclusively for cabin guests invite slower moments by the water between days spent exploring the Rockies.

Return to the privacy of your own retreat, with the dining, spa and service of the hotel close at hand.

For a few brief weeks each fall, the alpine forests surrounding Lake Louise turn gold.

Larch season typically reaches its peak from mid to late September, creating a remarkable window for exploring trails such as Larch Valley, Saddleback Pass, and Taylor Lake. For a different perspective, the The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola offers sweeping views across the valley and surrounding peaks.

Plan for an early start, dress in layers, allow extra time for busy trailheads, and check current conditions before setting out.

The season is fleeting, but the landscape is unforgettable.

Soft light, joyful glances, and moments that feel entirely your own.

Set against the beauty of Lake Louise, each celebration is elevated by exceptional service that anticipates every need and allows the day to unfold seamlessly, personally, and with a true sense of occasion.

There are few places in the world that offer a setting quite like this.

In Lake Louise, the wild is never far away. Step beyond the hotel and the surrounding forest, riverbanks, and nearby trails offer endless opportunities to explore, often with glimpses of the wildlife that calls this landscape home.

Follow the Bow River, wander beneath the trees, or venture farther to the lakes and alpine trails nearby. Sometimes, the most memorable encounters happen just outside the door.

Look closely and you may notice one of the hotel’s smallest neighbours crossing the path.

Two iconic trails, each offering its own perspective over Lake Louise.

The Little Beehive rewards the climb with sweeping views across the lake and Bow Valley, while the Big Beehive continues higher to a dramatic overlook framed by the surrounding peaks. Both routes begin along the lakeshore, passing Lake Agnes and its historic teahouse along the way.

Whether choosing one viewpoint or linking both into a longer day, these hikes offer a memorable way to experience the landscape just beyond the hotel.

Few viewpoints capture the scale of the Rockies quite like Peyto Lake.

Its brilliant glacial colour and distinctive wolf-shaped shoreline make it instantly recognizable, while the surrounding forest and peaks create a perspective that feels almost impossibly vast. Located approximately 40 kilometres north of Lake Louise along the Icefields Parkway, it makes for an easy half-day outing from the hotel, or a memorable stop within a longer day exploring the parkway.

Summer days unfold easily, with something to delight every member of the family.

Begin with buttermilk pancakes at breakfast, enjoyed as the early light settles over the mountains. From there, the day might lead to a private guest shuttle to Moraine Lake, a walk along the lakeshore, or the simple excitement of spotting wildlife along the way.

Back at the hotel, there is time to linger outdoors, explore the gardens, and let the afternoon take its own pace before gathering for a relaxed dinner at The Outpost.

Then, return to the comfort of a family suite, with another day in Lake Louise waiting just beyond the windows.

A season shaped by the richness of the region and the precision of the kitchen.

The Dining Room's summer menu brings together enduring Post Hotel favourites and carefully composed dishes, including Veal Tenderloin Zürich Style with potato rösti and wild mushroom sauce, Dry Aged Duck Breast with Okanagan cherry and stuffed morels, Ranchland Bison Tenderloin with roasted onion pommes pavé, and Alberta Black Angus Beef with sweet potato, oxtail crisp, and sauce foyot.

Thoughtful, refined, and deeply connected to place.
