The Town of Lewisporte is pleased to announce that the Lewisporte Splash Pad will officially open on Friday, June 26. Families and visitors are invited to cool off and enjoy this exciting new recreational feature throughout the summer season.

The splash pad will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., providing a fun and refreshing space for children and families to enjoy.

Be sure to mark your calendars for our Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, July 18. More information about the event will be shared in the coming weeks.

More Toronto service for Central Newfoundland. ✈️

Air Canada is extending non-stop YQX–YYZ service into the winter shoulder season, with flights four times weekly from Oct. 25 to Dec. 13, 2026, and the route returns March 1, 2027, three months earlier than usual.

Schedule:

YYZ–YQX: Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri, 7:50 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
YQX–YYZ: Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri, 12:50 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.

Flights will operate on Air Canada Express regional jets, E175/CRJ900, with a two-class cabin: 12 Business Class seats and 64 Economy seats.

This is a major opportunity for Central NL to grow service, with more choice, better hub access, and a stronger case for future winter flying.

Flights are expected to be available next week.
