Big news for the community of McBride and the Sled McBride MBCSA (McBride Big Country Snowmobile Association).

As part of BC’s new Look West: Outdoor Recreation Strategy, the McBride Big Country Snowmobile Association has been awarded nearly $400,000 through REDIP funding to support construction of a new 140-foot bridge into the Renshaw riding area.

This project represents years of work by the club, its volunteers, government partners, and the BC Snowmobile Federation.

The announcement also highlights the important role outdoor recreation infrastructure plays in supporting rural communities, tourism, local jobs, and access to the outdoors across British Columbia.

Congratulations to everyone involved in helping move this project forward.

McBride might look tropical at lower elevations right now but still snow holding up high and Jacko’s local scouts just informed him Tommy gained a little snow today! ❄️
Jacko is currently trekking deep into the peaks to find the weather Gods for a little "chat." Let’s stay on the right track and pray for a massive dump! ✊
