As some of you are aware, our boat docks sustained catastrophic damage from the ice heaves this year. As a result we have had to re-work the whole dock system and it is considerably different from what you are used to. Quotes to re-construct as they used to be were between $40,000 and $90,000 and these figures just didn’t fall into our budget.

At this time we are still under construction and the docks are not ready for use by guests but rest assured they will be by next week!

It will take some getting used to for everyone and we are still working on some more ideas for some future work. We are hoping that the changes are positive. Remember, we love constructive feedback.

Hi everyone
We sent out confirmation emails on Sunday and we are aware that many of you have been trying to call to make deposits. A severe winter storm hit the island and we have been without power since Sunday night and it is not scheduled to be restored until the night of March 18th which means our phones are also down.
We can still be reached by email as Leanne is out of province helping with our newest grandson (born on Feb 24th) We will keep you updated here. I think you are able to leave voicemails in the meantime. Attaching some baby Mason spam for you.

We’ve said goodbye to our last guests of the season. We’ve been so blessed to have had a great 2025 with fantastic guests. Thank you all and we cannot wait to see you next year.
Now we’re in family mode and excited to be welcoming a new grandbaby in February which means lots of time travelling for grandma (GaGa) especially.

It’s starting and it’s going to be a great one.

As the sunsets move it is a reminder that summer is almost done but September on the island is usually quite nice and the colours will start to change closer to the end of the month. It is truly spectacular to see.
