That early fall sunrise just hits differently. Waking up at dawn in time to witness the sun peaking over the horizon and sharing its brilliance, reflecting over a calm lake, as you sip your morning coffee.
We make our home in one of the most beautiful places in North America, tucked into the heart of the continent in a way that skips most major travelling websites. Some people might ask, "What's so great about a lake?"
But when you witness mornings like this, or thunderstorms rolling just south of the island, or the bright green of spring and summer that turns to goldenrod and orange in the fall, or how jack pines stubbornly cling to life on a rockface above the water, or the way that the glow of the sunset seems to embrace the whole environment, or hear loons calling to each other at dusk...you know what's so great about a lake, about *this* lake.
